What an interesting way to start the weekend!
Week 3 Special Lecture at @Uniswap Hook Incubator by @AtriumAcademy .
Today, we had @_Allarious from @cantinasecurity join our class.
First of all, what an amazing human being!
Most of the class was absent because the session was scheduled during office hours. And honestly, they missed a great opportunity, especially since the session wasn't recorded.
He started with a brief introduction, and then came the first question, which was from me. He explained it in detail, and guess what? The next three questions were also from me!
I asked a lot about security practices in this AI era, how security researchers and auditors actually work today, and how AI is changing their workflows.
He also shared some valuable advice for early-stage developers on how to navigate this space.
Then, for around 20 minutes, he walked us through how he would approach finding vulnerabilities in Uniswap v4, almost like a live simulation.
It was incredible to watch a top-notch security auditor think through problems and investigate potential vulnerabilities live. Very insightful!
I got answers to many of my questions and, more importantly, learned how I can improve my own approach.
One piece of advice he shared that I'd love to pass on:
"Be a good developer, and you will be a good security researcher."
When I asked him about the path to becoming a security researcher, his advice was simple:
"Keep developing. Development and security are highly overlapping paths. Read as many protocols as possible, try to identify even the smallest flaws, and keep learning by doing."
And the final question of the session? That was also from me!
Couldn't be happier with how the session went.
Now the notes are ready. The next step is to actually implement these lessons in my development practices and habits.
Thank you, @_Allarious, for such an insightful session!
Day 2, Week 3 of @Uniswap hook incubator.
Today @TomWade explained the internal swap pool and specifically return delta hooks and its varieties.
Slowly and steadily i am getting the things , just need more practice and visualization to move faster.
Day 3 of week 1 in @rektoff_xyz .
Jack discussed about unsafe rust and memory errors today.
It is quite interesting to go one level deeper and visualize what actually going under the hood while we write rust.
What would Solana’s consensus look like in a post-quantum world?
Meet Quantumglow: a proposed adaptation of Alpenglow that aims to protect consensus while preserving fast finality.
@jacobvcreech and @qkniep explain how it works. Full video below👇
Seeker Connect is live.
Developers can now give users a named, branded, one-tap connection to the Seeker wallet across mobile apps and mobile web.
No generic “Mobile Wallet Adapter” option. No second wallet picker.
Just Connect with Seeker.
Alpenglow is live on mainnet-beta ⛰️ 🎉
Solana’s new consensus protocol: finality reduced from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, built by Anza.
