Always loved traveling to Vegas, but it’s lost its luster…there’s really no better place in the US to live, visit, play poker, or just sit back and enjoy the sunsets, than FLA…
c'est la vie…

In case you weren't aware, a friend of Postle's informed him that there was a group who believed he was cheating by somehow obtaining information through his phone. So, he acted as if he was—pretty smart move on his part, huh 😝
Multiple people relayed the rumors to him months before Veronica went public. Think about that… then put yourself in his shoes. If he/you were cheating and heard that people suspected it and were strategizing on ways to prove it or catch you in the act, would you continue cheating?
The original accusers think so little of everyone’s intelligence that they even claimed they knew that Postle and JFK knew people suspected they were using his phone to cheat, so they just switched to, you know, the bone conduction headset method 😆
Sometimes I ask myself how people could have believed all this (fake data, lies about RFID, lies about him being a bad player and never playing anywhere else) — then I look at the real world right now — and I get it.
@codedandunited@espn@NHL@GoldenKnights Termination?? 😆😆 That’s a bit severe, especially when you consider this style of woke/rage-bait “reporting” has been the norm for a good part of the past decade.
Lol ESPN might give her a promotion
Between signing Hart, allowing no questions about it, preventing Bruce Cassidy from coaching, and whatever nonsense is coming out of Mitch Marner’s mouth…Vegas is the most unlikable team in a Cup Final since?
Lot more awful storylines than good ones.
@ManOfTheLibrary@JasonKoon@randy_3coin Of course the goal is to accumulate everyone else’s chips, but not sure how Koon could have handled the situation any better than he did.
@VictoriaL_64 WSOP creating a rating system for dealers was pure genius… got everyone placing blame on incompetent dealers instead of the WSOP for hiring them 😊
The most remarkable thing about this case is that the Lodge, according to @ChadAHolloway (PokerNews), was allowed to “make an argument” to the grand jury.
I wasn’t aware that this was even possible.
Usually, it’s just the prosecutorial team that presents its side, which is why there’s an over 99% conviction rate.
I’m not sure how they convinced a grand jury that charging/taking entry fees for tournaments isn’t an “economic benefit” but they did — so more power to them.
This is a good example of how ignorant the poker community and media can be.
Filmmaker David Broome was in the process of making a documentary about POSTLEGATE. It was reported that I knew Broome from my “connections in Hollywood” and convinced him to do the project. That was false. I didn’t know him nor was it my idea to “bring him on board.” I was all for a documentary though, and spoke to him one time on the phone. He asked me not to put out any more data evidence at the time. He wanted to put it out in doc. I found that to be a fair request and obliged.
Then everyone started attacking Broome because they thought he was going to make it one-sided “Postle positive” type film.
Kuraitis, Postle, and a waitress from Stones had already been interviewed.
But get this. Kuraitis told me that after the interview, Broome told him that after the research he had done, including his interview with Postle, he told Kuraitis, he thought Postle was “a cheating scumbag.”
Leave it to the brilliant poker community to shoot a gift horse in the mouth. I would have loved to see Broome complete his doc. He was going to show all sides. I don’t care what his personal beliefs were.
Kuraitis and Stones were completely vindicated.

When did answering questions from a bunch of Joe Blows who never made it past pee-wee turn into “a great opportunity to connect with fans”?
All McCrimmon had to say was, “We don’t agree with the ruling.”
Instead he sells out his coach, and apologizes — to who ? VGK fans?
They don’t care.
This had to have been scripted by the league. He can’t be this pathetic 😆
It’s more than just enduring stupid questions from a mostly insufferable media looking for soundbites. NHL/Bettman are in the “drunk with power” stage, and they’re even more emboldened now that ratings are up.
The USA gold medal game is the reason for that, not “brilliant” maneuvering from the woke NHL — do NHL fans really enjoy listening to their life-lessons?
Who could forget these?👇
"I think the biggest difference between this year and last year is that the vaccine itself is protecting against serious illness… So while we have some symptomatic players and some players under the weather for a couple days, they're not getting sick like they got last year, and that's a direct effect of being fully vaccinated." ~ Bill Daly
“Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Nonbinary identity is real.” ~ @NHL
My point is that the NHL’s crackdown against Torts, is just part of their broader compliance strategy.
‘Lick our boots or you’re out. Speak your mind and you’ll be fined if we don’t agree.’
How did Zac Rinaldo’s career work out after refusing the 💉. Ask Bertuzzi how much it cost him.
No one in hockey media pushed back, in fact, they attacked anyone who didn’t comply. And the sadder part is players stayed silent for fear of retribution — not because they were on board.
The NHL doesn’t want individuality. They want puppets all on the same page.
True… and it’s also true that coaches use pressers for their own benefit at times… but if they say the wrong thing, they’re fined too… the NHL wants it both ways. “Address the media AND you better not say something we don’t like.”
If coaches and players had freedom to answer questions without fear of punishment (fines, suspensions), they’d be much more willing to address the media… they shouldn’t be required to speak after every game… at minimum they should be allowed to skip a few (10%/yr seems fair). I get that the NHL wants storylines, but a coach skipping a postgame press conference is a storyline… PHPA is responsible for the absurdity as much as anyone… the over the top fine is the defining moment — and a message to coaches around the league.
“We own you!”

Never forget the @NHL coerced the healthiest athletes in the world to take the COVID-19 “vaccine”, none of whom needed it — and in lockstep its lapdog media clowns continually pushed the propaganda.
“Is that a positive? So many guys in the NHL have gotten vaccinated. Is it a positive to know that you got it and it probably protected you from getting sick?”
@Sportsnet For everyone up in arms over the @NHL laying down the law against the @GoldenKnights for skipping one of these, what would we do without such invaluable insight?

Read the article closely. There has been no official announcement from the TABC that they are no longer pursuing money laundering charges.
PN/Jon Sofen say the filing “indicates” they aren’t (pursuing money laundering).
“Indicates” is the key term here. Since money laundering wasn’t specifically addressed in the filing, PN/Sofen arrived at their conclusion.
News Flash — the TABC doesn’t have to include evidence of money laundering in the filing. They only need to show probable cause as to why they seized assets—which they did. They don’t have to reveal all the evidence they have. In poker terms, they don’t have to “show their cards.”
PN knows this. This isn’t reporting, it’s positive spin for Polk and The Lodge from a compromised media organization. Now the general public thinks “Oh, the money laundering charges are out. This isn’t as bad as it sounded originally.”
PN has a history of doing this—spinning news to benefit advertisers/employees/pro poker players they have associations with—for over a decade.
The most obvious case is the way they smeared Justin Kuraitis and Stones Gambling Hall. Stones was/is an actual reputable casino. Who led the attacks?
Content and advertising contributor @DougPolkVids.
Who was the lead attorney that filed the case against Stones?
PokerNews’ “employee” at the time, Mac VerStandig.
In another case, PN reported negatively against Tampa Bay Downs, when VerStandig led a lawsuit against that reputable casino/card room.
I’m not jumping to conclusions about anyone’s guilt related to the money laundering charges. Maybe the charges will be dropped or reduced at some point. Or maybe arrests will be made or plea bargains reached. I certainly won’t be relying on PN or Jon Sofen to report the facts.
Read the story on Tampa Bay Downs in the thread below.
Why didn’t PN write a story on their association/working relationship with the PPC? It’s pretty sad when the largest poker media organization in the industry is willing to smear reputable casinos, and slant stories, rather than report facts.
