The stringers are in place. Each board is incredibly heavy, and we had a total of 9 people helping out. The boards were milled uphill, so we used gravity to our advantage. A winch to pull the boards across Babb Creek. #PAOutdoorCorps #TiogaStateForest

We are in #TiogaStateForest building a backcountry bridge at this site along the @MidStateTrailPA. The bridge is being constructed with native timber sourced from the surrounding forest. #PAOutdoorCorps

Our job as the trail crew has been primarily maintenance of existing and building of new trails. As you can imagine, the crew is unfortunately no stranger to ticks. We try to clear the trails back as much as possible to minimize potential for picking up a tick, but when exploring nature there's always a chance. Check yourself often and use repellent!
