Commentators keep talking about Sabalenka getting a biomechanist in to fix her serve, think she should have got a good technical tennis coach in! #notrocketscience
@andy_murray Hindsight is a fantastic thing. Maybe Andreeva showed a lapse in mental strength but then how quickly she could reset and how mentally strong she could be…….
@MrPatPrimary@the_LTA It is commonly recognised this was a highly flawed initiative. Devalues professional tennis coaches and gives away equipment that will sit in store cupboards. This should have been 50/50 grant for coaching/equipment!
We can get so caught up looking at where we should be, where we aren’t, and where others are in comparison that we forget to appreciate where we’ve been and where we’ve come from.
I think tennis players will resonate with this a lot more than other athletes. For the vast majority of us, we lose every single week… But those losses inevitably turn into lessons that make us better in the long run. Kudos to @Giannis_An34 for enjoying the process 🙌🏾
@chrispeet11@Liambroady@BoltonTeam Good performance coaches are often mavericks who think differently and often are ahead of the curve. If everyone says and thinks the same there is no progress it just becomes monotonous regurgitation.
