Rough picture I know, but those lights in the background are the farmer still spreading muck and its actually a lot darker than the 📷 shows!
Suddenly I'm reminded of how they are yet another forgotten and neglected part of our tribe.
It's a cold hard reality for the youth of today. So no wonder they're so despondent. There's a reason why greed is one of the seven deadlies and I'm not even religious!!
Great show as ever!!
@mrjamesob
Just listening to your show.
I truly believe the hopelessness Gen z are feeling, is, in a large part, down to our capitalist society. Its proof that ultimately it will never be sustainable. You cannot increasingly squeeze anything and expect it to survive.
That is the ethos of capitalism. Minimum input. Maximum output. Growth, output, profits etc, they're all finite. With companies upping the output (making billions of extra profits) while margins get tighter this will only accelerate the inevitable.
The market has failed to manage our water system, only democracy can turn it around.
If you agree, add your name to @labourlewis “Water Bill” here: https://t.co/UIUzk2norK
When I saw this this morning, I though it was just another 'crazy conspiracy theory'. So like all good conspiracy theorists, I decided to fact check it before spreading more 'disinformation' and was shocked by the results.
Firstly, it is absolutely true that Arla, who supply Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi, are trialling Bovaer on their dairy cattle https://t.co/nfbdecK6j0
So I went on. Bill Gates' Bovaer is so dangerous that it should not be handled without wearing full PPE as it is harmful if inhaled and a skin irritant. It's side effects include:
Eye and skin irritation.
Breathing difficulties
And as always with any of Bill Gates' products - Male infertility. https://t.co/k1H6hoc1KI
Worse still, Bovaer's genotoxicity (damage to DNA that could lead to such side effects as cancers and birth defects) is not known! https://t.co/2IVlMg7qUO
Milk, butter, cheese etc, will all immediately be effected, but further, it is not clear whether crops grown in ground where manure has been used as a fertiliser will be effected.
When they say trial, they really do mean trial as not much is known about the long terms effects of Bovaer, particularly if it were to enter the food chain. And we are, as usual, its unwitting participants.
I guess we can't stop it from happening but we can choose where we buy our products and I for one will be boycotting Arla!

Bring me your evidence of Corbyn's Antisemitism. You've got: 40 years of public service. 1000s of Rallies, Speeches, Demonstrations, public meetings, TV, Radio, Google. Bring me: One single piece of recorded evidence of Corbyn saying something antisemitic. I can wait...
More importantly what if the faulty part had caused an accident, and, God forbid, death.
I'm betting you would respond with infinitely more enthusiasm if a corporate manslaughter charge was on the cards.
Absolutely woeful.
NOT surprising.
Corporate=take the money, admit no fault
@GSFCarParts
What do you have to say about providing a brand new part that was an MOT fail. On 2 separate occasions???
Further to that, your branch, area manager and overall manager offered no meaningful resolution. In fact I was more often ignored than responded to 🤬🤬
@supertanskiii This is never going to stop. They're going to bleed us dry until something breaks. Especially seeing as they have the full support of the current and previous governments. If no one reigns them in, they'llnever stop. They're all complicit in greed and the hardship it creates
It was when they started accusing Jeremy Corbyn of anti semitism that I knew our society had become rotten. I've met him a number of times. I deeply kind and honest man.
I mean, going after him for fake corruption scandals, sleeze stories. Ok. Go for it! Call him a communist and say he won't be a strong enough leader. Ok. Go for it! That's part of politics.
But to use the holocaust. The murder of millions of jews. To defame a life long anti racism campaigner. That when I realised British mainstream society had lost its moral compass.
Reeves says Labour is proudly pro-business and pro-worker.
No mention of pro-child.
Or pro-pensioner.
Or pro-person unable to work.
Or pro-state, or pro-all who work on it.
Or pro-charity.
Or pro-carer.
No, just pro-business and pro-worker.
That is a simplistic and blinkered narrative that should have been left behind decades ago.
In every way it just feels like we’re back in the Cameron era.
“Difficult decisions” landing on the shoulders of the poorest while a smug slick suit tells us we’re “all in it together”.
When are they going to get it? We’ve had 14 years of Tory pain & can’t take anymore.
