@GeorgeSquares Most isekai would just straight up be better if it was standard fantasy (if the plot is even worth anything). Rarely does the genre ever interact with the isekai part other than using it as an excuse to have exposition dumps of the entire world rather than good storytelling

@BashfulBoarSam I think it's partially due to the nature of parasocial relationships on the internet tbh. People end up putting people on pedestals for follow count or attractiveness or w/e just to completely fumble it when most people just want to be talked to like a normal person
