@DesignDoughty Final thought is you could always try York Uni's TFTI or York St John. Both unis can be open to collaborations, and you may be able to give students I set building experience. I know UoY is usually open to clients over summer hols and a range of students stuck around

@DesignDoughty Have you tried Harrogate Theatres Scenic Services? They have done a mix of budgets from what my colleague told me. There's also Stage One nearby but they'll be pricier.

@DesignDoughty When I started building sets, I got in with York Mystery Plays. I know they do theatre shoes but several of them had set building experience so you may be able to talk with them and see what they say
