The worst thing that has happened with the word "privilege" is the fact that it has been so terribly overused to the point where it has been diluted by so much.
Do not play The Game of Privilege where you put mixed matched demographic characteristics against each other and determine a winner. There will never be a winner. Privilege pays respect to every individual in its own way.
When a majority or minority grouping that you fall into speaks of something that doesn't coincide with your circumstances, don't be hateful. They are speaking for their own truth; this doesn't invalidate yours regardless of your relation to them.
