As independent as I am, I still love to be babied. Acts of service are how I feel loved. I don’t care about money, just lighten my load. I’m too prideful to ask for help, but when you take the initiative and handle things without me saying a word… that means everything.
Ladies, if your man can’t fix a car, do plumbing, mow the lawn, or anything he can fix with his hands, but instead hires a maintenance worker to do it, then you have the right to hire cleaning services, a chef, and a nanny to avoid doing any unpaid labor
I think the biggest lesson I've learnt from dating is the minute you're confused about how they feel for you, you should just leave. You should only be confused about small things like what birthday gift you should get them, not if they even like you or want to be with you.
being in a state of melancholy is so weird bc how do I explain that I can laugh and giggle all day but I feel this persistent wave of sadness that lingers through me all the time
I'm not married, but these are the few things I've learnt:
1. Never ever share the secrets of your past with your husband. He will use them against you.
2. Marry a man who is financially capable and responsible.
3. Don't give up your job or career for any man.
4. When he shows you what he's like, don't try to change him. He'll treat you exactly how he feels about you.
5. Don't make him your whole world. Have a life outside him.
6. Don't let him know you can help him financially. He might resent you for that.
7. Do not move into his parents' house, except your house is under renovation.
8. Don't marry the person you love, marry the person who loves you.
9. Don't get pregnant because he wants a child. Get pregnant because you are ready and capable of it.
Bonus: Study yourself and patterns. Do what works for you.
Call me immature but I do not like a neutral friend especially if you know the other person did something hurtful or malicious. You will be cut off. Being neutral in moments when you know someone is dead wrong is problematic as hell. A friend to all is a friend to none 🙃
Let's normalize telling people, 'It seems you don't have the capacity to love me in the ways I want and need, so let's not continue this, I deserve better,' and leave it at that.
For any woman who needs to hear this: there are caring men out there, men who will sit and listen when something bothers you, take accountability, apologize, and stay aware of how their behavior affects you. Don’t settle.
My story isn’t perfect. It’s messy, emotional, and full of chapters I barely survived. But somehow, through it all, I found strength I didn’t know I had, peace I thought I lost, and grace that kept finding me anyway. ✨
PLEASE avoid eggshell type of relationships, can't express yourself, can't be yourself, can't be straight forward, can't be comfortable, can't talk like adults, can't be heard, can't respond with love without it actually turning into something negative...
To be loved is to be remembered in the middle of a busy day.
To be loved is to be spoken to with care, not just intention.
To be loved is to be included in plans, not just thoughts.
To be loved is to be corrected gently, not shamed loudly.
To be loved is to be defended when you are not in the room.
Because true love doesn’t just arrive it remains, gently and consistently.
Some things don't go back to normal, even after an apology. Once you’ve seen how someone can hurt you, you can’t unsee it. You can forgive and even laugh together like nothing happened, but a part of you will always remember how it felt, and that changes everything.

Don’t be impressed with men paying for their girl’s nails, Pilates, and skincare. Be impressed with men investing in her growth — funding her master’s degree, supporting her solo travel, helping her start a business, bringing her to church when she feel she’s not enough, and standing by her while she cares for her ill mom.
