[having to cough out in public]
EXCUSE ME. everyone. i need to inform you all that i do NOT have the covid i simply have CHOKED on my OWN spit bc i am TRULY INCOMPETENT as a HUMAN.
@BuriedInBabies I feel the same way! I know a small part for me stems from his odd work sched (he works either 24 or 48 hr shifts) so when he’s home I feel like I need to protect his time to take care of himself. Yet me working full time with a 2 yr old at home doesn’t count in my head? So odd!
@hollyweatherwax @johnlegend Wait, but did you read the part where he said he knows it’s not 100% of the industry, but that it does happen and if you aren’t directly doing it its time to acknowledge that it happens and take a stand? No? Too triggered? Okay.
@jduffyrice I have a two year old and a partner who works either 24 or 48 hour shifts, and I work full time. I cannot comprehend how I’m supposed to go back to work when we don’t know if or when we will have childcare, let alone if it will be safe. Such a huge stress right now.
@J_Santibanez08 @AttorneyCrump Right, just as you don’t experience the collective trauma and lived experiences of the black community. Which then, by your assessment, makes your original tweet, a judgement.
@lopcamaro@StacyMorrow33@AttorneyCrump I don’t understand why a bystander interacting would make this dangerous? That in and of itself is part of the problem. Cops can’t keep from potentially being violent if there are other people making noise or questioning them when they have children lined up? That’s a problem.
Breonna’s Law passed unanimously but Jon Mattingly, Myles Cosgrove and Brett Hankinson are still walking free. While passing the law is great, a murderer is still a murderer.
@westonpagano @skylarchriss My partner is a firefighter/paramedic and we straight up had the conversation of “what is worth an ambulance ride” because he knows better than anyone what it costs. Such a pathetic state of our healthcare system.
role you play in the continuation of an inherently racist system and to want to do better. None of that is political, it is the most basic level of engagement and expectation that we as human beings should have.
It is not “political” to demand systemic reform and justice for those who commit violence against other humans. It is not “political” to demand and believe that Black Lives Matter. It is not “political” to be appalled by, and call out, police brutality and expect that those who
Participate in it, allow it, excuse, and perpetuate it be held accountable in a meaningful and significant manner in our justice system. It is not “political” to call out racism when you see it or hear it. It is not “political” to educate yourself about your privilege and
@medicedwards35 @m_behle @SexCounseling @realDonaldTrump@OANN Not to alarm you or shock your senses, but no sane individual living in America that understands what is happening in this country thinks that the US is any sort of super power any longer. So, you can cross that off your list.
