When I first heard about the Signal chat, I thought “how did a reporter get added to a small chat with 4 or 5 top Trump admin officials without anyone knowing?”

Then I saw the actual group text list

It had almost 2 dozen people in it, mostly non-senior folks and many only identified by their initials

Now I’m almost certain about what happened - a corrupted staffer added the journalist as part of a Deep State hit to attack the Trump admin
