De laatste dagen zijn er mensen uit de moslimgemeenschap, zoals Mohammed, Ahmed, Salma, Hadricia of anderen, die mij op mijn sociale media voortdurend aanvallen en belachelijk proberen te maken omdat ik mij kritisch uitlaat over de rellen en vernielingen die door veel jonge allochtonen worden veroorzaakt in Brussel, Parijs en andere Europese steden.

Ze zeggen daarbij: “Maar jij bent zelf ook een allochtoon.”

Inderdaad. Ik ben van buitenlandse afkomst. En precies daarom wil ik heel duidelijk uitleggen waar het verschil ligt.

Ik heb nooit tegen de westerse waarden gestreden. Integendeel. Ik verdedig ze met hart en ziel. Niet alleen uit respect voor de mensen en de samenleving die mij hebben ontvangen, iets wat eigenlijk iedereen zou moeten voelen, maar ook omdat ik zelf volledig achter die waarden en manier van leven sta en ze wil beschermen.

Mijn kritiek gaat over de mensen die deze waarden verwerpen, die het Westen als verderfelijk beschouwen en die menen dat ze het uiteindelijk moeten vernietigen. Dat is waar ik mij tegen verzet. Helaas gaat het daarbij vaak om mensen uit de moslimgemeenschap.

En wie naar de beelden van de vernielingen in Brussel, Parijs en andere Europese steden kijkt, ziet dat je onder de mensen die deze vernielingen veroorzaken bijna nooit een Pers uit Iran of een Jood tegenkomt. De mensen die publieke eigendommen vernielen, schade veroorzaken en proberen de samenleving te ontwrichten, komen vaak uit milieus waarin een sterke afkeer van het Westen en zijn waarden aanwezig is.

Daar ligt mijn kritiek.

Dus aan Said, Ahmed, Mohammed, Haticha of wie dan ook die probeert mij te kleineren, heb ik één boodschap: zet je energie niet op mij. Ik ben een zelfverzekerde vrouw die in de gevangenis van de ayatollahs rechtop bleef staan en nooit plooit. Jullie ‘intimidatie’ werkt niet op mij. Als volksvertegenwoordiger van dit prachtige land zal ik altijd problemen bij naam noemen om er vervolgens een oplossing voor te vinden.

Als je werkelijk iets wilt veranderen, ga dan naar je eigen mensen, naar mensen van jouw generatie en binnen jouw eigen moslimgemeenschap, en spreek hen aan. Zeg hun dat het aanvallen van dit land, het vernielen van onze publieke ruimte en het veroorzaken van schade onaanvaardbaar is en moet stoppen.

Ik heb niemand gevraagd om mij te volgen of het met mijn mening eens te zijn. Maar wie ervoor kiest om mij op mijn sociale media te volgen, zal mijn mening ook moeten kunnen verdragen. Je mag mij inhoudelijk bekritiseren en mij tegenspreken. Maar persoonlijke aanvallen en pogingen om mij belachelijk te maken, zijn niet nodig.

Ik ben zelf een allochtoon. Het verschil is dat ik nooit tegen de samenleving die mij heeft ontvangen, heb gevochten. Ik heb ervoor gekozen haar waarden met hart en ziel te dragen en te verdedigen, en dat doe ik elke dag in mijn politieke engagement. Want ik hou van de westerse beschaving en ik hoop dat het hele Midden-Oosten ooit deze waarden zal dragen.

I think that what a lot of English people would find 'grossly offensive' is the idea of a grown man having sexual intercourse with a nine year old girl

A reminder an HGV driver wrote to me. He delivers live animals to abattoirs & describes the places as sadistic, vile & depraved cruelty. Halal slaughter should be banned immediately.

"David I need to remain anonymous to keep my job as I work for a large multinational that are very PC/woke and me getting involved in any sort of discussion like this would cost me my job.

"I’ve worked previously as a HGV driver delivering livestock to slaughterhouses. In the build up to Ramadan the company I worked for made sheep deliveries to halal slaughterhouses up and down the country.

"We’d always deliver after dark and the loading bays would be full of Muslim men and boys who’d come to choose their sheep. They’d be climbing up the outside of the trailer to get a look in and try pick which one they wanted. They’d be shouting and screaming whilst banging on the trailer to try get the sheep to move around.

"Drivers would always do their best to try stop them as the animals are still in their care whilst on the vehicle. Once the trailer door was open the men would be jumping in the trailers trying to grab their sheep and mark it. We’d often end up physically removing the men and a few times it ended up in fists flying.

"Once the sheep had been herded into the slaughterhouse pens the real barbarism would begin. After waiting hours and hours with no access to water the Sheep were punched and kicked by the men and boys and forced onto the waiting line to be slaughtered. The whole place is absolute chaos with people screaming and shouting and the sound of dying animals.

"Once they reached the front of the queue there’d be an imam sat there reciting prayers as the slaughter man grabbed the animal by the head, spun it round and slit its throat. It would then be hung upside down on an overhead hook conveyor and transported for butchering as it was still bleeding and writhing around in agony.

"It’s not an instant death by any means. The supposed “vet” whose job is to maintain welfare standards is nearly always a friend of the owners and is also Muslim who’s paid and simply turns a blind eye. The whole place is a complete blood bath. Zero welfare standards, zero compassion.

"In comparison we used to deliver pigs to slaughterhouses and the welfare levels are immense. Animals were herded without any physical contact at all, if you so much as touched an animal the vet would have you and your company banned from the site immediately and reported to the relevant authorities too.

"The animals are slaughtered with a single bolt to the back of the head. It’s instant and pain free.

"I just thought I’d give some inside information as to what goes on.

"Halal meat is vile and it needs to be banned."

In the first series of Clarkson's Farm, a young woman told Jeremy Clarkson his sheep would never make money, and the wool cheque proved her right before the year was out.

Ellen Helliwell was the shepherd he hired when it became clear he could not manage 78 ewes himself. She lambed them through the night, treated their feet, and told him the arithmetic at the start.

Then came shearing. A gang arrives, charges by the head, and leaves a pile of fleeces. Clarkson sent the wool off and learned what every sheep farmer in Britain already knew. The fleece was worth less than the cost of taking it off the animal.

For 800 years that fleece was the wealth of England. It paid for the cathedrals and the wars. A sheep was kept for five or six years for her wool, and the mutton at the end was a bonus that fed the country.

Now the wool is a disposal problem, so the only thing a sheep can earn from is a lamb sold at five months. One income where there used to be three. Clarkson's flock lost money, and he said so on television.

The reason the fleece is worthless is in your wardrobe. The jumper is acrylic, the fleece jacket is polyester, the carpet is nylon, and all of them are made from oil.

Ellen could do everything a shepherd has had to do since the Bronze Age, and do it at three in the morning. The thing she could not do was compete with a plastics factory.

Check the label in your collar before you ask why British lamb costs what it costs.

In 1967 Britain had more electric vehicles on its roads than every other country on earth put together, and they were all delivering milk.

There were tens of thousands of them. The milk float: open sided, battery under the floor, top speed of about 15 miles an hour, and a whine you could pick out in your sleep. It was charged overnight at the depot and was back there by lunchtime.

It carried glass bottles. Each one was collected from your step the next morning, washed and refilled. A bottle went round like that 20 or 30 times before it broke. The foil cap went for scrap. There was no other packaging.

The milk had come from farms within a few miles, through a local dairy, and was on the step before 7.

So here is what the country had. A zero-emission delivery fleet. Reusable containers with a return rate any modern scheme would kill for. No plastic. A supply chain you could cycle the length of. A man who noticed if an old lady's bottles were piling up, and knocked.

It was dismantled in about 15 years, because a supermarket could sell milk a few pence cheaper in a plastic jug as a way of getting you through the door.

Every piece of that system is now the subject of a government target for 2040.

It was running in 1967, silently, in the dark, and nobody thought it was worth a mention.

Unacceptable.
1. A child is dead. The man who killed her is serving life. Life is supposed to mean the cage holds.
2. Last year the Board said he still posed a risk of serious harm. This year they give him the street for a kitchen.
3. His own case team opposed it. Cooking does not even match the plan they wrote. The Board overrode them.
4. “Unescorted” with conditions is still a man who murdered a child leaving the walls. Conditions are paper. Paper does not bring her back.
5. The family has to hear this on the news. That is a second sentence they never asked for.
6. You will find $3.1 billion for a war you will not end. You will cut veterans. You will not keep this man inside.
7. This is not compassion. This is a system that lost the plot and called it rehabilitation.
To the federal government. To the Minister of Public Safety. To the Parole Board you appoint.
No.
Not this case.
Not a cooking class.
Not while her mother is still afraid.
Lock the door.
Name the failure.
Change the law that made this possible.

In 2015 the EU tried to force Poland to take in migrants from the Middle East and Africa, but Poland REFUSED.

When Belarus started pushing migrants at its border in 2021, Poland didn't let them in and then pay for their housing, food, and healthcare like so many Western countries do. Instead, it built a steel wall more than 100 miles long and put soldiers on it.
