Taking part today Educating for Empathy conference with @EmpathyLabUK, a very interesting morning, finding out more on how books can help develop empathy skills and some of the research behind it.

It was world Mental Health day yesterday. We have a selection of books to help manage emotions and cope with difficult times, available in the library every day.
This Thursday lunchtime, we will be having a Mindfulness/Story cafe afternoon in the library.
It is #BHM and we have a great selection of non-fiction books around UK black history and a display of our new teen/YA fiction by black female authors, Celebrating our Sisters.

We are lucky to have a HUGE selection of @BarringtonStoke and Conkers books in the library, including Keith Gray’s new book The Den.
The books are super readable, with dyslexia friendly font, easy to read layout, off white paper and fantastic stories!
It is #EmapthyDay2023 and also #PrideMonth and I have a lovely display of LGBTQ+ books in the library.
Also, the book group started reading The Land of Never Endings by Kate Saunders and we did a Roll on the Wall for the main character Emily and the emotions she will be feeling.
