We are Charles Gerard's Regiment of Foote, a part of The Sealed Knot re-enactment society whose aim is to bring the English Civil War to life!

A year ago we had the pleasure of being at #UptonFolkFestival - it should have been on this weekend so in its honour the regiment is having a sing song on zoom. Not quite the same as in the pub but it’s something 🎶

Then & Now: After retiring in 2006 Jen needed something to keep her busy, luckily for us - we were that something! Jen settled right into musket (first picture was taken after passing her test) but more recently has been found in the artillery. All about the gunpowder this one!

Then & Now: Today it’s Chris aka Santa. From barefoot in the Scots pike block (health & safety was different then) to CO of a regiment to boss of Gerard’s pike; he’s been busy since joining in 1986! Still active on the battlefield but enjoys a quieter life on living history too.

We’re back with another Then & Now. This is Lenny, another person born into #reenactment and still going. She’s a tiny two week old in the first photo and a proud standard bearer in the second. That’s two 3rd generation reeanctors in a row - it really is a family affair!
