@DUSKdev You also had access to certain areas if the cauldron was high enough, and the tension of having to play the game perfectly otherwise you would lose hearts raised the stakes by a lot, and the game really, really became harder if you had infernal difficulty
@DUSKdev Technically speaking, it was done once but I would like to see something like the fiend cauldron from Kid Icarus Uprising, the system worked so if you wanted higher difficulty and better drops, you had to use resources to do so, and if you died the cauldron lowered the difficulty
