Democrats appear to have thwarted a @NEGOP effort to gain a filibuster-proof majority in the Legislature. More vote counting in Douglas County now puts @JohnforNE a Democrat ahead of Republican @VoteStuDornan by 69 votes, flipping that seat.
@theothermoody@asanderford@NEGOP Dornan would need to get 67% of the provisionals, assuming all are accepted, to change that outcome. A very unlikely threshold to achieve
From the day we started in May, we've shared my vision for strong schools, lower property taxes, and a community that feels welcome to all. Tens of thousands of door knocks, calls, and post cards later, and we're down to the final few hours. It has been a privilege to run!
It's a sprint to the finish! Thanks to everyone that was out holding signs this evening, our door knockers, and our awesome phone volunteers who are STILL making calls. Let's win this thing!
Still have that mail-in ballot? Return it to a drop box before polls close on Tuesday at 8 PM Central (7 PM MT).

We just wrapped up our last weekend of door knocking for this campaign - it feels kind of weird! Huge shout out to all our volunteers and staff that were out knocking with me, we reached hundreds of voters and had great conversations. Two days to go! #HardWorkWins
I support funding reform similar to the Columbus plan that was proposed last session, which would lower property taxes you pay to schools by about 20%, provide stable funding, and use the growing revenue surplus to pay for it.
The school funding plan that Pillen and Kauth support would devastate Millard and Elkhorn. It would syphon off more than $200 million of our funding to other districts, forcing us to raise taxes and cut teaching positions.
Boy the short memories some people have. Haven't you learned by now that I bring the receipts? Countless Republicans worked with me until it became politically convenient to spread lies and disinformation about who I am and what I stand for.
We only have a handful of days left in the campaign! If you requested an early ballot and haven't turned it in yet, we have a drop box right here in the district at the Millard Public Schools Foundation building, just west of 156th and Q. Quick and easy!
We are one week away from election day. The other side is sending out awful mail full of lies and disinformation. We're out knocking doors and making phone calls. We reached hundreds of voters today. Thank you to everyone for your support in the home stretch!
What's funny is:
1) I've called for a state gas tax holiday. Gas would be under $3/gallon right now if we did that.
2) Literally the first commitment on my website is to lower property taxes
3) That pic is from when I met Pres Obama for being the 2016 Nebr Teacher of the Year
This is what it looks like when you have your annual MEA trunk or treat to get to, dressed as an astronaut, but you're coming straight from door knocking. Thanks for another weekend of AMAZING conversations and strong support. We're going into the final week at full speed!
Yesterday, the economic forecasting board voted to significantly raise the revenue projections for the next 3 years in Nebraska. We have the funds available to deliver major school funding reform AND property tax relief. We have a window of opportunity and we must seize it!
Thanks Zach for your support in the OWH Public Pulse today! I am eager to work with Senators from across the state to deliver the comprehensive school funding reform and property tax relief that Nebraskans deserve.
Tim has the receipt! 🧾 😊
He’s such a good teacher and person. He’s raising great kids of his own. He’s truly the best choice. Vote for Tim! #Proud2bMPS#Vote#NeLeg#ILovePublicSchools ❤️🗳🌽
