For those very few who may pay attention to me, I'll not be using Twitter (X) any longer. They removed Pro from their Premium sub and paywalled it behind Premium+
Since Pro is the only way to view a feed chronologically (and the sole reason I subscribed at all), I've canceled my sub and will no longer use this site. You'll probably see my blue check until the sub expires in July.
You won't see me on any social media at this point as this was the last one I used. I do use Reddit still, but that's for tech support/hobbies and not social activity or political discussion (since it's a progressive hellsite).
My best wishes to all.
Dave Kendall, creator and former host of MTV’s 120 Minutes, has died.
Fellow MTV alum and “120 Minutes” host Matt Pinfield shared news of Kendall’s passing earlier today. RIP

What a great picture—a reminder that every piece of art you love was scraped, cobbled, and kit-bashed into existence by creative rebels who thought outside the box.
@thedigitalbits How does the previous Criterion Blu-ray compare to this new 4K? I am considering an upgrade, but not sure it's worth it if the differences are minor, and especially since the 4K is SDR, with only the 10-bit color to recommend it over the Blu-ray.
@TheWrap I love this movie. I loved the story. It deserves a sequel.
Whoever failed this film needs to be removed from cinema.
I still hope for a sequel.
@TheWrap "John Carter and the Gods of Hollywood"
by Michael D. Sellers is an exhaustive and thorough account of the entire history of the film. One of the most insightful books on the cinema business I've ever read.
Bob Iger murdered this. He didn’t want any excuse for George Lucas not to sell STAR WARS to Disney. Some evidence? NO TOYS or Merch. None. For a 250m Disney Film. Generic title. JOHN CARTER? Based on A PRINCESS OF MARS! Even 70s Marvel comic was JOHN CARTER - WARLORD OF MARS.
