@JonjayNeedham1 As a social worker, I think social workers need to be mindful of the trauma we cause to children by removing them, even when this is the right thing to do to keep them safe. No child should be lied to or have their belongings in a bin bag. That is not good enough.

@neilmcrowther @StayUpLateUK @socfuture This is why I didn't go into adult social work as by the time I'd done two placements in adults, I was disillusioned by the support you can give. It isn't rocket science to be able to make a meaningful difference and yet this is often frowned upon. When did we stop listening?

Never move our children and young people in care with a bin bag. Our children and their belongings are not rubbish or litter you put in a bin bag. Treat them with the respect and dignity they deserve. I never got moved once with anything other than a bin bag. #BanBinBags 🙏

@AshcroftBen As a social worker, I think we need to own the trauma we cause while trying to do the right thing which can be as, if not more damaging than the trauma already suffered. Children need to have the loudest voice and we need to listen no matter how that voice is shared.

I will never understand how with all that humanity has achieved we still can't get passed things that people don't chose for themselves such as their colour, sexuality, disability and where they happen to be born. So much hate needlessly directed over the lottery of life.

@LowisCharfe It didn't take long for them to use fear of people coming here as a smoke screen to take away any rights we have. Getting rid of the court of European Human Rights was my main fear when we left the EU.

Not sure how this Dom com will end. This, though, should not be about what party you support. It shouldn’t be about whether you’re leave or remain. None of that should matter one iota. This is about right and wrong. This is about the truth. This is about trust.
