Europe just sent a warning shot.
France is moving government systems away from Windows and American software. Germany is migrating thousands of PCs to Linux. Governments across Europe are talking openly about digital sovereignty.
Why?
Because under US law, American tech companies can be compelled to provide access to data, regardless of where that data is stored.
Think about that.
Your emails.
Your cloud files.
Your business documents.
Your chats.
Your browsing history.
Most people have handed their entire digital lives to a handful of foreign corporations and never questioned it.
The smart move is not panic.
The smart move is reducing dependence.
Use encrypted email.
Store sensitive files locally.
Use end-to-end encrypted messaging.
Explore open-source software.
Stop assuming the cloud belongs to you.
If governments are worried about who controls their data, perhaps you should be too.
Need honest opinions.
My younger sister got married last year. Before the wedding, I spent almost ₦40 million in Nigeria helping with venue costs, food, clothes, and other expenses because I am the person in Nigeria
Last month, I needed $5,000 urgently to complete a payment to my chinese lithium battery supplier. I asked her if she could lend it to me for just three months. She and her husband lives in the States and has the money.
She said no.
Her reason was that ‘marriage has many expenses’ and she doesn’t want to touch her savings.
I reminded her that I stepped in when she needed help. She replied that what I gave her was family support, not a loan, and that she doesn’t owe me anything.
Now some relatives are saying I’m wrong for bringing up what I spent on her wedding and that I shouldn’t expect anything in return.
Am I wrong for feeling betrayed?
@SteveNdukwu Stop this! You people are so shameless. Your go to excuse is “the politicians” stay and force them to change your country. The power of the people is greater than the people in power. 200million coward citizens! All of your elected politicians and their police are not up to 1M!
@LeratoPillayZA Before blaming Nigerians, maybe look inward. Your own parliament is investigating your KZN police chief, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, allegations of deep criminal syndicates inside South African law enforcement and politics, including protection at the top. So tone deaf
Been using @clevabanking for a while now, and I honestly love how smooth it’s been. Quick top-ups, USD virtual card that actually works, and no drama. 🔥
Banking that just works.

@Acyn Do you morons who support this line of thought understand that literally ANYONE in America can be accused of being a criminal noncitizen without due process and deported to a third country like El Salvador just on some government LEO say so alone. Including YOU reading this.
@OgbeniDipo Nigerians include you don’t and never will understand courage and duty. All you wanna do is sellout your country and people for an illusion of Peace where you capitulate. Cowardice is in your DNA. Life is NEVER worth living if you live it on your knees. You won’t get it.
