video shows how close bystanders came to being struck during Tuesday night’s shooting in Rogers Park, capturing nine shots fired beneath a Howard Street overpass as pedestrians scrambled and a storefront’s glass door shattered.

The 36-year-old man wounded near Howard Street and Paulina Street around 9:22 p.m. has twice been sent to prison for shootings, according to court records. He remains in critical condition. CWB Chicago does not identify crime victims by name.
