Have a few minutes today? I wanted to post something that has been on my heart...

I come from a family of passionate preachers- my father being one. My mother, however, held the mantle of Sunday School superintendent for nearly 50 years and even hosted her own gospel broadcast every Sunday night, which reached the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland. I share this with you, so you know where my roots lie.

Over time, I've witnessed our nation stray from God. Day by day, month after month and year after year, our leaders have grown distant from the creator. They hold the belief that everything is accepted by God, and that there is neither punishment nor consequence for wicked behavior. This type of thinking serves only as an insurance policy to continue performing evil and indulging in sin with an absolved conscience.

In the 70s and 80s, the 'hellaphone" and 'hellavision' were common culprits that ate away at Christian spirits. However, the advent of social media has taken this to a whole new level, and today, Christians seem to have less time to pray or study the Bible. This heedless attitude has withered their strength and weakened their voice.

The conservative platform and the word of God share a similarity - they’re both topics that are not frequently discussed anymore. However, if our leaders don't prioritize their faith, our country will bear the brunt.

We should not be alone in recognizing what's happening or speaking out publicly. Having faith in God, we have a powerful ally. Speak your truth without fear. Putting God first means no need to fear the end result. Fear is sin. Doubt is in. Spiritual debt is sinning.

I don't preach. Let me clarify, I don't have a degree - my father does. However, I urge you to seriously consider my observation. Our country is under attack and we need change. It's my hope that many of you can see the same and push for the necessary action.

Many who lead profess Christianity yet lack sincerity in their hearts. I mean no disrespect, but the Bible states, "Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted." - Galatians 6:1

This verse calls for gentle reproof of those we see falling into sin, as all of us can be similarly tempted.

Therefore, it is within my right to state that our leaders are entwined with sinful ways and must be held accountable if they do not revere God and return our country to its spiritual roots.
