$NEO is the native token of the Neo blockchain, a platform built to support a smart economy through digital assets, identities, and smart contracts. It runs on a dual token system where NEO handles governance and GAS covers network fees, with support for multiple programming languages to make development more accessible.
As of late August 2026 the price sits near $2.17 after a solid climb of around 28 percent over the past week. Recent activity includes the addition of a CAIP-2 chain identifier for Neo N3, ongoing NeoFS tool updates, refinements to the Neo X sidechain, and fresh OneGate wallet releases focused on decentralized identity features. Community developer rewards continue through programs like Proof of Working, while the team keeps pushing goals around stablecoins and AI integrations.
The project still aims at building practical infrastructure for the next wave of decentralized applications.
The market doesn't reward those who wait for certainty. It rewards those who spot the anomaly before the crowd wakes up.
I saw the setup for $NEO and didn't blink. Another 10x locked in.
Stop watching.
@erikzhang We expected character from the swindler's accomplice. Shame on us. Your character has been revealed too. You came crying, and we believed you. Now you've disappeared again. You will both pay the price for your actions one day.
NEO doesn't need a new roadmap. It needs couples therapy.
There were no winners in the Neo blockchain drama. It didn't get settled. It just stopped mattering.
What's left is an unfinished divorce where nobody signed anything, and the children are eating dirt for dinner.
The only remaining move for this ecosystem is @erikzhang and @dahongfei fixing their relationship.
And it does not have to be real. Hate each other in private. Curse each other out in DMs. Rub your d**** on each other's cars. Nobody cares.
What the community needs is something like a photo of the two of them at a table, smiling like a hostage video, thumbs up, caption "great discussion today."
They pretend to be on good terms, and the community pretends to believe it.
Neither of them will succeed alone, at least not under the NEO brand. It's either this or NEO at $0.54 by next year, and that number is what actually matters to holders.
Sure, some of them will tell you they love NEO for its "beautiful poetry", but that's not true. Their investments are gone and their hopes and relationships went with them.
Their bags are down over 90% and the poetry won't cover a single month of retirement.
This is not about good or bad vibes. Investments are numbers, and the numbers today are much smaller than the initial ones.
"Number going up is good. Number going down is bad." Right now, NEO numbers only go down.
Say whatever you want about Erik, but he is the tech lead and the admin on the repos and the accounts. He literally built the platform and controls the keys.
Say whatever you want about Da Hongfei, but he understands markets and he can move them. The contacts and the skill required to pull that off are exceptionally rare.
It feels like one of them owns the house and the other one owns the furniture. The house is worth more, sure, but it's unlivable with nothing inside it.
We know that nobody gives a f*** about anything except the price. "But the poetry!" Nobody cares.
Yes, single sig is insecure. Yes, the rumors around DHF aren't great. Nobody is thinking about that. People are thinking about the friends and family who bought NEO because they wouldn't shut up about it in 2018.
The current emergency is that NEO is investor-adverse. Not only because there are no dapps, but because the community is hopeless.
So do what bad parents have been doing for centuries: stay together for the kids. Keep the marriage as a facade and let the family have a chance to grow.
@r3ejimmy The whole community understood that there was no point in improving the technology. I respect their efforts, but why did Erik disappear again? That so-called leader only comes back to whine.
