@BaseballDudes48 Saw a batter strike out.
GC Dad scores a base hit.
Then has his kid getting picked off at first.
I think dude batted like .650 that season 🤷♂️
Our field isnt just maintained March through May. Its a living entity, it requires maintenance to stay healthy and in the best condition possible. There's a standard that has been set our job is to leave it better than we found it. #bainesfield@GoSaintMichaels
🔥HOT🔥 Grow to Play at Camden Yards‼️
Maryland State Assoc. of Baseball Coaches (MSABC) selected '26 RHP Brock Grow to pitch in the 42nd edition of the prestigious *Brooks Robinson* senior all-star game to be held ~6pm, Wednesday, July 1 in Oriole Park at Camden Yards (Baltimore, MD).
Congrats, Brock! You'll be taking the field immediately following MLB's Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox game. There's nobody we'd rather have representing the STM Baseball Program at Maryland's premier prep showcase!!!

🚨FEMI EARNS 500th WIN!!🚨
On the strength of STM’s 17-3 record this spring, Brian Femi became a member of an extremely EXCLUSIVE club.
The St. Michaels HS head baseball coach entered the 2026 season with 489 career wins. The 2026 Halos immediately went to work, winning their first 8 games. And with another SAINTS victory on 16 April 2026, Femi notched win number *500*, joining the legendary Bernie Walter as the only two Maryland public high school coaches in history to achieve that milestone.
Femi downplays the achievement: “Wins are a by-product of your program, he said recently. “And the program is built through community involvement, not a specific person. So, 500 is about longevity more than anything.”
The Cumberland MD native’s career record now stands at 507 wins and 209 losses, which equates to a .708 winning percentage over 39 seasons (36 years at STM and 3 at Easton).
He attributes this success to several factors. “A team is only as good as its assistant coaches, and we have six here who are talented enough to be head coaches in their own right. It takes good players, too, and we’ve been fortunate to have several of those over the years.”
“It takes a community that recognizes the role Athletics can play in a child’s overall development. And here in the Bay Hundred area, baseball is important enough that people donate their time & money for field maintenance, equipment, concessions, etc."
“It takes a supportive school administration — thank you, TCPS! It takes a loving family, and my wife Kim has sacrificed a lot to enable me to do this for as long as I have. Most importantly, the program must have loftier goals than just baseball, and here at St. Michaels, we feel like we’re helping build young men capable of handling what’s coming their way in life.”
For a coach that just concluded his 39th season at the helm, the ‘retirement’ question sometimes arises. Femi dismisses the notion out of hand: “I have no plans to retire anytime soon.” he said. “I’m motivated to coach now more than ever. I want to get better and really focus on ways to improve.” Then, the Maryland Baseball Hall of Famer grinned while adding: “What else would I do?”
One day you'll play your last baseball game.
You won't know it's your last one when it happens.
No announcement.
No warning.
No standing ovation.
Just a final out... and eventually a realization that you'd give anything to have one more inning with your teammates.
The bus rides.
The batting practice rounds.
The dugout laughs.
The nerves before first pitch.
Don't wait until it's over to appreciate it.
Respect the game.
Compete like crazy.
Be where your feet are.
Because someday you'll miss things you don't even notice today. ⚾️
@realMikeRanelli@_AhmadG_ He was safe, I slowed the video down...bang, bang. But the 3bman interfered with the runners path he would have scored on the interference anyway
Played his usual stellar defense at 2B, but this year dedicated himself to an off-season workout program and put on 20 lbs of muscle.
The on-field result? Became Halos' most reliable arm on the mound. 7 quality starts in as many outings despite drawing the toughest opponents. Raised his batting average an eye-popping 184 points, from .264 to .448. And xtra-base hits went from 2 to a team-leading 11.
This 4-year varsity starter showed tremendous growth in all phases during his time at STM. Will play next year for NCAA D3 Widener Univ. (Chester, PA). Good luck and Godspeed, Brock Grow!
Steady leadership. Great teammate. Does damage with the bat. Feared on the basepaths. In the field, not flashy, just makes every play. And ensures everyone knows where to be & what to do.
Will be missed. This 4-year varsity starter is committed to NCAA D3 Cairns Univ. (Langhorne, PA). The Highlanders are getting a high-quality individual.
