@Wizarab10 I need a laptop. My childhood friend has a thriving tech stat up that he asked me to join if I learn how to code. He does graphic design, video editing and ui/ux. So he wants me to join him. But I don't have a laptop. I need one🥹
Since Friday, I’ve been watching documentaries about Nigeria’s history.
Honestly, I’m shocked.
Don’t stop this series @realJudebela
Growing up, I thought Nigeria’s problems were recent.
Now I’m realizing that many of the issues we complain about today have existed for decades:
• Leaders putting themselves before the country.
• Power struggles and political betrayals.
• Endless borrowing.
• A weakening naira.
• Insecurity becoming a normal part of life.
The more history I watch, the more I understand why so many Nigerians are frustrated.
We’re living with the consequences of decisions made long before most of us were born.
Every Nigerian should spend a few hours studying our history.
You’ll stop asking “How did we get here?” and start asking “How did we allow this to continue?”
Youre right and I'll tell you why because I can.
Given the circumstances of his marriage, they expect him to be miserable - as per Nollywood.
They hate that he seemed to cover all bases - prenup, marriage, divorce + custody, removal of his ex as dependant, exoneration from DV claims and he is unapologetically loud.
They don't care about whatever circumstances surrounded the marriage or dissolution just hate the fact that "a cheating gurl took an L".
They hate that they can't troll him for his looks, career, pockets or his ability to pull 10s as he pleases + he is young. So why not zoom in, on his nostrils.
Was he doing too much publicly at some point? Relatively yes.
But I can rationally charge it to two possible factors:
1. He was genuinely also deeply affected by the way the marriage turned out & the repeated public crashout + need for some kind of validation was a necessary step to putting it behind,
2. When a situation puts you on the spotlight for the very first time, a lot of people don't know how to leverage on the overwhelming first round of applause & hang it there - they stretch it until the balance tilts.
These are my honest assessments.
Do these assessments justify the vitriol he's getting from women currently? No.
He seems to be doing well and they hate his guts.
The honest-to-god truth might be that - he might not be doing that well emotionally but he has refused to allow weakness be his public identity and doesn't conform to their definition of "humble".
@DamilolaAquila Na small thing now, una go start dey mad dey enter market.. They colonized us, and so what? Are we the only colonized country in the world? Shey na them dey embezzle your money now? We are talking about bad leadership, you are still stalked in colonization talks.
VeryDarkMan just confirmed that Livinus Nwosu, the guy that has been going from house to house, sensitising people on everything that’s going on in the country and encouraging them to get their voters card and vote right has been picked up by some masked gvnmen. According to the eyewitness, he was teaching Livinus how to do his voter registration online. Next thing, some men came in a Hilux and took him away.
VDM: “I totally understand what is going on. I believe this is because I announced that I will be instructing the Ratel leaders to go around and teach people how to get their PVC. Tinubu, it is quite shameful that the Nigerian police don’t have men to go into the bush in Oyo State to rescue the school children that were k!dnapp£d 16 days ago, but they have men on ground to track down Livinus and arrest him over nothing.“
"Look at the way terrørists are k!ll!ng people and posting the videos on social media. This is the result of the votes some people sold during the last election."
— Livinus Nwosu, while visiting villagers and showing them a videos and pictures of several victims of terrørists att@cks, urged them not to sell their votes ahead of the 2027 elections and encouraged them to register for and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
My Dad left Nigeria🇳🇬 in his late teens to be educated in the West🇬🇧
After completing his bachelors and Masters in the UK🇬🇧, he created multiple business in the West 🇺🇸🇬🇧and generated more wealth than he could have ever imagined.
Dad brought all his talents and expertise back to Nigeria🇳🇬 with the hopes of creating a World Trade Center/African Wall Street.
When I was born in Nigeria🇳🇬 I was surrounded by wealth, servants, opulence and two loving parents who despite having it all, modeled the importance hard work, never being a victim and never being satisfied with mediocrity.
In 1987 the Nigerian government🇳🇬 illegally and corruptly stole all of my dad’s assets, including his man made island that’s now worth billions and was renamed to Banana Island.
While fighting the Nigerian government🇳🇬 in court, he mysteriously died weeks later.
We went from rich to poor over night.
Mom brought my brother and me to America🇺🇸
It wasn’t easy, as we literally started from the bottom in the Bronx🙅🏾
My brother and I applied what our parents instilled in us at an early age, and despite the plethora of mistakes I made, we both became very successful.
Without the opportunities America🇺🇸 has afforded my family, I’d be nothing. Yeah, America🇺🇸 isn’t perfect. We have our issues, just like every other country on the planet, but America🇺🇸 is one of the handful of places in the world where you can start with nothing, put in the work, and end up at the top.
I love this country🇺🇸, and I’m not ashamed to say it. And the moment I feel otherwise, I’m gonna pack my stuff up, teach my kids a new language and seek life elsewhere.
With that said, #HappyIndependenceDay 🇺🇸 #4thofjuly
