@garius My sister isn't on Twitter, but she makes lovely things out of leather (2nd generation of leatherworkers in our family, taking after my mum). Much of her work is made to order, but she also has a few pieces ready made, all of which can be ordered here: https://t.co/oi27Lu0VTS
@westcountrytim@cyclegaz I wouldn't take that for granted. My last office was very modern, but the cycle parking was minimal to say the least, and at least four companies in the same building had nothing. Excepting brand new developments, plenty of buildings in the city have no parking at all
A little request. Think about animals if you're sending up fireworks. We've had this every night this week, and it's heartbreaking seeing her shuddering with fear every evening. If you're going to use them, maybe just keep to the one night?
@mattamosphere Today's learning: don't have a heart attack in Scotland!
Nice map. Is the underlying data reliable? If so that's a huge north-south disparity
@drsimonrogerson That is some good knowledge! Any idea why such a big station for a relatively small city? I'll have to take a trip to museum gardens, that sounds interestingly dark.
@ThatsMauvelous Today I had to say that a yellow car was a taxi or I couldn't do my work. I think the machines are trying to brainwash us into submission
@ZJAyres I had incredibly supportive supervisors and a great department, without which I don't think I would have had the stamina to complete the PhD. For anyone considering a PhD, environment is everything, make sure you're somewhere that feels right. Shout out to @UniRdg_Met
@ZJAyres I took six months out when my dad was ill, and it was the best decision - it gave me time to come to terms with what was happening and to be there for my family, without worrying about the PhD. I completed and now work in industry, which was always my plan.
