@posbyonechop @AdventureAbz When quarrying stopped in 1969, they turned off the pumps that kept the quarry floor free from water. It has slowly filled up with rainwater, recently classified as excellent quality water.

Aberdeen City Councils Planning Committee unanimously rejected plans to build a 9 storey block of 245 flats on the edge of Aberdeen’s most important heritage sites, Rubislaw Quarry. A great and right decision. Thanks to the Planning Committee and all our Friends & Supporters!
