The War of the Last Alliance, shown in the prologue of The Fellowship of the Ring, actually lasted a total of 12 years. The first 5 years began with Sauron’s attack on Minas Ithil and continued through the Battle of Dagorlad, followed by a 7 year siege of Barad-dûr that brought the war to an end. During this conflict, Sauron killed Elendil and the High Elf King Gil-galad, and Isildur’s brother Anárion was also killed in the process.
The first filming for The Lord of the Rings trilogy began on October 11, 1999. Just like the Fellowship in the story, a deep bond formed among the LOTR film crew and cast. Even after a quarter of a century, that unique sense of fellowship unmatched by any other film still lives on today. 🤍
La llegada de Baelor Targaryen para salvar a Duncan el Alto es posiblemente mi momento favorito de la serie y uno de los que más me han calado de toda la franquicia
