"He Said the Dog's Nickname... and the Shelter Pit Bull LOST IT G (Unbelievable Reunion)"
shelter footage captures a moment no one expected. a quiet pit bull lies in his kennel while visitors walk past and barking echoes through the corridor. then a man casually says the dog's old nickname... not even realizing who is inside the kennel. within seconds the dog jumps up, tail wagging wildly, crying and pawing at the gate. the man turns back in shock as he realizes the dog he once loved has been waiting for him all along. what follows is a powerful reunion hug that proves dogs never forget their humans.
a real emotional shelter moment showing the incredible memory and loyalty of rescue dogs.
Diane lost her job and her apartment within the same week. She lived in her car for three months with her dog, Pepper. When the car stopped running, she had no choice. She surrendered Pepper to Clearwater Animal Shelter and promised she would return. A housing program helped Diane get stable eight weeks ago. She visited eleven shelters before finding Pepper at the twelfth, fourteen months later. When Pepper saw her, he froze. Then he ran. They both went down on the floor and stayed there. A volunteer filmed the whole thing and cried the entire time.
A promise made in a desperate moment turned out to be one worth keeping.

Huge thanks to Christopher Farrell from Co Sligo for speaking to me about the horrific abuse he experienced from his father Noel. Christopher is adamant there are more victims who have yet to come forward. Noel Farrell now serving 20 years in prison. Full story here.
Two men, aged in their twenties and thirties, have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Temple Bar in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The incident happened in the Cope Street area.
The victim is being treated at Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to the public for help in identifying the man.
He has a distinctive tattoo on the inside of his right forearm — a blue and white flag with the words “Ceol is Beatha”, which translates as “music is life.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.

🛑 Stop SNA cuts! A pause to the Fianna Fáil-Fine Gael plan for widespread SNA cuts is not good enough. Micheál Martin saying “schools are well used to appealing” is insulting. Devastating for children with special education needs. Parents racked with worry. Schools left with real uncertainty. The only thing they need to hear from the Taoiseach is that this cruel plan will be completely scrapped.
