The voting isn't even over, however there are loud cries of hanging chads, blank ballots and electronic ballot box stuffing have already begun.
The much anticipated head-to-head Carrera Cup battle between the two Livery Juggernauts, #28 Brady Behrman and #45 Scott Blind, has taken an unexpected turn as news of chaos and improprieties leak from the polling stations. Two dogs, three dead people and one super-hero are said to have voted in this election, but it's unclear which of the "eye candy" behemoths received the fraudulent votes. It's becoming clear that this contest is heading for a recount at minimum. We could even be heading for a complete "re-vote" next Tuesday if it doesn't get sorted by sun-up tomorrow.
The polls are scheduled to close tonight at midnight, but there are whispers of one camp orchestrating a "ballot dump" just before the closing bell in an effort to disrupt tomorrow's deadline. Again, it's unclear which camp is planning the mischief but the #28 is currently down 53% to 47% in the count. All precincts are still counting, and this contest is way too close to call.
The Porsche Carrera Cup (PCC) has turned up the heat with its latest livery contest, posting a bracket on Instagram and letting fans vote on their favorite designs in a series of head-to-head showdowns. Things are getting tense in the paddock, especially for two best friends, Brady Behrman and Scott Blind, who are set to clash in the third round of voting. The stakes feel higher than ever—not just for the bragging rights of a winning livery, but for their tight-knit community. Mutual friends are caught in the middle, forced to pick sides in this unexpected rivalry. Will they vote for Brady’s bold blue design or Scott’s crowd favorite, flueo yellow with his trademark jester? The anxiety is palpable, and whispers are circulating that this could fracture relationships in their social circle. What started as a fun contest might just test the strength of friendships in the paddock. This could very well end some long time friendships as their friends are forced to pull the lever—who knew a livery vote could hit this close to home? #livery #porsche #carreracup
Ruckus Racing has kicked off the 2025 season with a commanding presence at Sebring International Raceway, competing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge (PSC) and Porsche Endurance Challenge (PEC) two weeks ago, followed by the Porsche Carrera Cup (PCC) this week. Driver Scott Blind and the all-St. Louis-based squad have been unstoppable.
Two weeks ago, in the PSC season opener (Rounds 1 & 2 of the USAC PSC series), Blind started strong with a 3rd-place finish in the first race. He followed it up in Race 2 by charging through the Masters field to claim 1st place on the podium. That same weekend, in the PEC season opener—a two-hour endurance race—Blind started from pole and drove solo to an overall victory, setting the tone for the 4-race series.
This week, Ruckus Racing returned to Sebring for the IMSA weekend and the 2025 PCC season kickoff (Rounds 1 & 2). The team delivered a perfectly tuned car, which Blind piloted to pole position in both races. With two clean starts, he kept the car at the front of the Masters class, winning both races by a comfortable margin while setting the fastest lap in each. It was a total Ruckus Racing sweep of the weekend.
The team’s success is no fluke. Coming off a 2024 season that saw them clinch the PSC Championship and the IMSA VP Challenge Bronze Championship, Ruckus Racing has set even loftier goals for 2025. The crew—Ethan Haas, Garrett Jordan, Cole Norris, Warren Duran, Pat Hughes, and Mike Johnson—continues to execute with near-perfect precision, whether it’s car prep, setup, or race strategy. Every member is fully invested and dedicated to the team’s triumph.
A key addition for 2025 is Andrew Davis, who joins as driver coach and engineering support. His strategic expertise has already made a significant impact on Blind and the team, elevating their performance to new heights. With this kind of momentum and talent, Ruckus Racing is poised for a blockbuster season.
Ruckus Racing is in the midst of a two-week breather before hitting the road for Sonoma, where they’ll tackle the second and third legs of the Porsche Sprint Challenge (PSC) and the second leg of the four-race Porsche Endurance Challenge (PEC) series. The team’s back home in St. Louis, fine-tuning both cars for the cross-country trek. After a standout performance at Sebring, Ruckus Racing is set to bring their A-game to Wine Country, looking to build on their early-season success. Sitting tied for 2nd in PSC and holding the PEC lead, the team’s sights are set on more podiums!
Big win for Scott Blind of @Ruckus_Racing! He takes the top spot in the first round of the Porsche Endurance Challenge North America! Meanwhile, C. Espenlaub / B. Chappell of HM Road Racing dominate the Cayman class!
