Every party/group has the right to take out a street protest. NO ONE has right to throw bricks at the police in Kolkata or anywhere else. That is not protest but plain and simple hooliganism. Inspector Debashish Chakravarty of Kolkata police goes through left eye surgery. His eyesight has been severely damaged after he was hit by a brick from ‘hooligans’ claiming to be ‘peaceful’ protestors. Who will compensate or call for ‘justice’ for a cop? Will any court step in and say NO to bandh culture?
