@Peston@Jack_Blanchard_ And why did UK government mock Europeans as populist for doing the right thing early that they are now doing late? https://t.co/MITBJGQtlp
Anyone know who is responsible for clearing trees on the Bristol / Pill cycle track? There’s a fallen tree blocking the way at the moment @sustrans @betterbybike@BristolCouncil

The area of #Bristol that's now Castle Park was once among the most populated areas of the city. On the night of 24th November, 1940 it was almost entirely destroyed within hours by Luftwaffe bombs. Throughout WWII 1,299 people were killed in 6 air raids on the city.
@WillardFoxton It's as relevant to ask 'what if a government of horses got in'?seeing as a Labour Government would be no more likely to be antisemitic than it would be to be made up of actual horses.
@KateMaltby If anything, 'Corbynistas' have been far too tolerant of the splitters trying to undermine the democratically elected leader of their party, and damage its electoral chances. That was the result of too much listening, not too little.
@KateGodfrey_ I find it impossible to view Corbyn's repositioning of the Labour Party as genuinely progressive, genuinely anti-racist and genuinely socialist after its years in the ethical wilderness under Blair & Brown as him being a 'sleaze'.
1/ A friend asked why every Silicon Valley startup has to be a billion dollars or it’s considered a fail. Why isn’t profitability enough?
(The @shl article sparked their interest.)
It was a good question, and so I did my best to answer, as someone working at a startup….👇
"Culture can’t force government policy, create jobs or reduce reliance on benefits but it can help a city, a nation, to reimagine itself. Bristol is a whole made splendid by its parts. When those parts work together, sparks fly."
YES, @EdsonBurton. 👏
