I like Mark and he should get one more year, but let’s be honest:

• One point guard on the roster (who is 5’10 and 150 pounds)

• Paid JQ $2 million to play 4 games coming off an ACL tear

• Paid Brandon Garrison around the same amount

• Signed a bunch of non-shooters despite his system being reliant on perimeter scoring

• Decided to sign 14 mediocre players instead of signing 2-3 stars (Jaron Pierre, Yaxel Lendeborg, Caleb Wilson, etc)

• Awful rotations and substitutions all season

• Refusal to call timeouts to stop opponent runs

• Never trimmed down the bench to the top 7-8 players, kept giving minutes to guys who can’t play

• Blew it against a handful of middling teams

• Destroyed by a MID Louisville team

The season is an abject failure. The injuries played a part, but this team was poorly constructed and poorly coached this year. That is the objective truth.
