Be the American the Japanese think we are

[PsyopAnime @PsyopAnime]

who says America has no culture?

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@IstanBULLISH12 @lowcarbGP @bschermd @DrScottMurray @drjasonfung @KenDBerryMD @drchatterjeeuk @thelowcarb_rd @lowcarb_aus @DoctorTro Ok, fair enough. It’s working well for me and I’m less interested in the underlying mechanism than the results, which are tangible. It’s great to fit in my clothes again.

Odd to fight over exactly why keto/low carb diets work for weight loss. If it's only calorie restriction then so what? The best diet is the one that can be maintained and low carb certainly has that advantage.

I have wondered about this though just for esoteric reasons. I am on Virta and have lost about 25lb in three months even though my ketone blood meter rarely shows me in ketosis. It's been a breeze and I'm never hungry.

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@nodoomforyou @DrInsensitive Why fight? Doc says you need a statin...say sure, Doc. Pay your $12 (or not) and leave the pills on the shelf or bin them.

@RealJamesWoods Always have

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@AriFleischer Yea, their "mind" left the building some time ago

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

I think many of the TS haters are doing this. A common criticism of her is that her songwriting and performance chops are "mediocre" as Rundgren said. Maybe they are...but as you said and I also mentioned in the first sentence of my reply is that millions of listeners don't care.

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@UncleFunkbeard @UndercoverIndy Context matters

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

She's creating a product that millions of consumers want. Resentment stems from confusing sophisticated composing and technical prowess as the one true path to success in the music business.

I don't believe it's lazy boys, but rather male and female tastes in music differ. There were a few women in the audience in Austin last night but not nearly as many as there were men. And I think we can all agree that Taylor Swift would not really have fit well on that stage.

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

Best take I've seen on here...and gonna steal it.

And I'd go further...her genius is also tapping directly into the software that runs on these 30-something women. Brilliant musicians seem to resent her for being a moderately talented artist who makes a billion dollars in sales.

In some ways it's analogous to intellectual's resentment of wealthy entrepreneurs.

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@VesperAegis @nickgerli1 Lol…people flee deep blue state run by commies for red states…moron with pronouns and terrorist flags thinks it’s Republicans’ doing.

@UTChargerTom @carryingmarine Why would I cruise a gay profile?

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@WTFghoulie @unusual_whales Best to stay out of Davidson

[Rufus Griswold @RufustheBold]

@SaysSimulation Could you simply have said that it's an iterative process thereby shortening your thread? Preference cascade (thanks, Elon) can result in the large snap back we now see.
