@RudyDuttry@MaryEllenPannWx Imo w/ current way of life in northern states we've little choice but do time changes. One of these options would have kids waiting at their AM bus stops in the dark but the other way creates hardships too. We'll have to do some real restructuring if we want one permanent time
@zaidkdahhaj I have several salt lamps (candelabra bulb muted by/in the center of a big hunk of orange-y salt) around my house bc I noticed yrs ago that if I had to be up late, they don't jar me fully awake like our regular lights. Seems like that was a step in the right direction
@ConMcGovy@foundmyfitness I'm also wondering what exactly is meant by "unprocessed". Are the lightly-pre-seasoned burgers my spouse buys considered processed? Is (unseasoned) ground beef still considered processed because it's ground? Or is he okay as long as he's not going crazy with deli meats?
@MUweather I guess it's not likely this year, but I'm hoping for re-do of summer 2023, with the glorious cool air from Canada keeping the humidity down but *minus* the wildfire smoke this time. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I can live with the heatwaves, too, just hoping we get some breaks here and there.
@MMMHMMMYEAH@gu28228262@NiallHarbison Yep, my Rufus was much better, good as new after eye removal. For yrs ppl doubted if he was fully blind bc he got around so well; having his eyes removed left no doubt 😅. He was already blind when we got him from a rescue, approx 5 yrs old, so no fear or adjustment period.
@legaltweetz Been following your journey for a couple months; regardless of where you end up on the gender issue, it's good to see you coming into your own and thriving. My rescues have saved my life, too ❤️ Happy holidays from me and Ollie!🐾🐾
@isgitt_joh53252@Mark_Sisson (And I do have multiple ways I "pay it forward", from small daily things to more substantial, & that does help too. But during ongoing family stress & at certain times of the year, when my mind starts racing every night, going through that list helps to ratchet down the anxiety)
@isgitt_joh53252@Mark_Sisson I suspect most of the ppl drawn to that to begin w/ are ppl like me with chronic anxiety. The "gratitude" habit is almost a form of meditation, a reminder before bed (when my brain starts going haywire) that things are pretty good, that I can rest easy then pay it fwd tomorrow
@SavvyUnbowed@HaroldWren22 In case you don't already know, if you're on Facebook, or Nextdoor, or know people on either of those, there are networks on both pages for lost pets and they put the word out to local users. I think Toby's List is the one on Facebook. Hoping Lief is home with you soon!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
@AdityaJiRathore@iam_presence@hayasaka_aryan (This is assuming people aren't social media addicts or influencers, insanely documenting every second. In that case they might need new drives more frequently...)
@AdityaJiRathore@iam_presence@hayasaka_aryan I'd save it all on a hard drive. When he turns 2, label & store the first one in a safe place then get a new drive; repeat every 2 yrs or as needed. Solid state drives are reliable, & as tech advances you can also back up the data onto newer devices so you'll never lose access
@MUweather Can't quite recall the last time we had rain here but it's been at least 14 or 15 days. Looking forward to having some rain back in the mix!
