@timkawakami People like to act as though their team can unilaterally force some hypothetical trade to materialize that benefits them. It’s so difficult to get one that two+ teams (and in theory the key players too) all think works. There are so many parties involved who can spike a deal.

I’ve never understood why everything in soccer is “99% out is 100% in” EXCEPT the offside rule, where the logic is reversed.

A more consistent rule would be if any part of the attacking player is in line with any part of the defending player, they remain onside. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #worldcup
