Year 13 students at Rugby Free Secondary School are proudly celebrating the Sixth Form’s third year of A Level results, which were again the best in our history, further improving on what was a great set of results in the previous year.

A group of staff are taking part in a charity event for Prostate Cancer UK. To raise money, Friday 18th July will be a non-uniform day for students. They need to wear an item of blue clothing and if possible, make a £1 donation.
A few weeks ago we put the call out to anyone who may have been able to help us with materials for an outdoor teaching space / forest school.
We are extremely grateful to Mark Colledge and his colleagues at MKM Rugby for their donation of supplies for this project.
Yesterday we said our staff goodbyes to our much-loved Exams Officer, Jackie.
Thank you to Jackie’s family for their presence, to so many staff for being there to reflect on Jackie’s life, and to Chris, who spoke so beautifully.
We have now opened the bookings for our Year 6 Open Evening. You will have the opportunity to tour the school, see our different departments, try some activities and meet the staff. This is for students who will be moving up to secondary school in Sept 26. See you there!

Sports Day 2025! What a great day. It was lovely to see the high level of student engagement and the encouragement for each other on the track. It was our closest ever sports day result - 1st place went to Ali House. Congratulations to everyone involved.
This week, we celebrated Cultural Day, celebrating the diversity of our school and also educating our students on a range of different cultures and traditions from across the world.

Grace in Year 8 has been rehearsing with Five Star Theatre, in preparation for their production of The Wizard of Oz at the Benn Hall. She concluded the run of shows on Saturday, playing a ballerina in the Lullaby League, a crow, an acrobat, and was also a dancer in the ensemble.
