@FreemanrugbyJPN That seems a stretch. They are NOT eligible to play for Japan until they have done the five years, technically or otherwise..
I guess I can see their end game and perhaps a grandfather clause to cover existing players would help.

I get the Sevens changing concept but, as a general rule, how can that be a logical eligibility test .....

BUT Change needs to be made or Japan will remain, at best , "the best Asian Team in World Rugby."
There is clearly a wealth of talent in University rugby and Japan Under 20...

My source telling me Chris Eves & Ben Te'o are not injured - they are simply being rested.
