However, given the nature of our society, I think that this is more applicable in urban areas compared to upcountry.I agree that the safety of our children is key.

At the policy level, there is a willingness to ensure that the Transport sector is in line with international standards.We also need to engage all stakeholders on the matter.

@centre4policy @MoWT_Uganda @PoliceUg @JudithKarara The importance of Helmets cannot be over emphasized. We need to sensitize our people on the importance the use helmets. Enforcement is yet another are that we need to look into.
There is need for us to ensure that when buying a motorcycle, it is accompanied with two helmets.

@centre4policy @MoWT_Uganda @IncubatorGHAI @grspartnership My observation over the years is that over Speeding is one of the major causes of road crashes in Uganda. Unfortunately, some of our people are always in rush with no clear plan. This is an area that we need to sensitize our people about.

@centre4policy There is need for us to embrace the use of technology to manage most the challenges. The government is doing a good job to install the #CCTV. We can actually take advantage of this project to not only fight criminality but also other areas like to manage our roads.@IncubatorGHAI
