*Large Condolence Meeting for Comrade Sitaram Yechury in Patna, Bihar*

A large condolence meeting for Comrade Sitaram Yechury was held at Patna on 1 October 2024. It was attended by over 1,000 people from all over Bihar. The hall was jam-packed and overflowing.

After the floral tributes, the meeting was presided over by CPI(M) state secretary and central committee member Lalan Choudhary; the condolence resolution was placed by central committee member Awadhesh Kumar; and the meeting was conducted by state secretariat member Ajay Kumar, MLA.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau member and AIKS president Dr Ashok Dhawale, CPI(ML) Polit Bureau member, AIKM general secretary and newly-elected MP Rajaram Singh, CPI state secretary Ram Naresh Pandey, RJD state general secretary Nirbhay Ambedkar, and FB state president A Mahato addressed the meeting. All the speakers paid rich tributes to the life and work of Comrade Sitaram Yechury and appealed to the people to take forward his legacy.

He was suffering from a respiratory tract infection which developed complications.
