We all know how important Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi is for Muslims. This year, two major festivals, Ganesh Utsav and Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi, coincide in Maharashtra. Our community leaders have shown great maturity and decided to hold the Eid procession on the 18th of September, after Ganpati Visarjan. I congratulate the entire community for this incredible leadership and unity.

I have requested the Maharashtra government to declare a public holiday on the 18th for Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi. Last year, CM Eknath Shinde responded positively to a similar situation, and I am hopeful that the government will once again appreciate this gesture of harmony and announce the holiday soon. Let’s celebrate both festivals peacefully and with brotherhood across Maharashtra and in Bhiwandi. I urge the government to declare the holiday at the earliest so preparations can begin."
