This time around, let’s move beyond the politics of “watam ” and “Tutam ” and stop turning political differences into personal conflicts. Elections should be about ideas, competence, integrity and results, not blind loyalty to individuals or political camps.
Let us evaluate every candidate on their record: What have they done with the opportunity they were given? What policies did they advance? What problems did they solve? And, most importantly, did their leadership improve the lives of the people they represented?
Leaders who had years to serve but delivered little or nothing should not expect an automatic return to office simply because they have come back to seek votes. Public office is a privilege entrusted to individuals by the people, and that trust must be earned through performance and accountability.
This time, let us make informed choices based on issues and measurable results. Let us reward leaders who deliver, hold non-performing leaders accountable, and send home those who only remember the electorate when they need another vote.
OUR VOTE IS NOT A REWARD FOR LOYALTY. IT IS A MANDATE FOR LEADERSHIP , SERVICE AND RESULT.
