@zerohedge JPM isn’t pricing a dovish surprise. It’s pricing a credibility gap.
A pause with the 10-year at 5% and Brent at 107 doesn’t read as relief. It reads as Warsh didn’t have the votes.
The S&P print is the headline. The path is the trade.
@DeItaone Street raised TSLA targets, but the range still runs from $360 to $485. The upgrade from Underperform to Hold at $400 does not erase the gap between the bulls and the ones who still see execution risk on Robotaxi and energy margins.
@zerohedge AI issuance is filling the AA bucket faster than the bid can absorb it. When Goldman prefers BBBs, the spread is already saying the high-quality end is crowded. European names refinancing into that tape meet the same wall.
@KobeissiLetter 3 million tonnes is ~22 million barrels. US distillate demand runs near 4 million barrels a day, so this is about a week of US use, not a new supply regime. The price test is whether the barrels clear.
@LizAnnSonders Last year the unprofitable tail led, 20% vs 10%. This year the flip is the breadth number, profits back in charge means the median stock, not the Russell headline. Same split in Europe when equal weight lags the index.
@ShaliniRaoSays The 29k print cut October hike odds. It did not cut the long end. The 10year dipped to about 5.16% and closed near 5.26%. For Europe that is the number that still prices mortgages, not the payroll headline.
@LizAnnSonders@SPDJIndices Flat index, red median. Those 12 industries are over 40% of cap, so the equal-weight is the number the headline hides. Same pattern in Europe: a handful of names can hold the Stoxx while the median stock is already down.
@LizAnnSonders@ChallengerGray September cuts fell 19.9% from a year ago. The year so far is down 39% vs 2025. Kashkari just said the labor market looks pretty good. What still keeps the Fed on hold is services, not this headline
@charliebilello Core PCE at 3.0% is month 66 above 2%. For euro area the parallel is German flash already at 3.3% with energy back in services. Sticky services, not the headline print, is what keeps Euribor from easing.
@LizAnnSonders@MBAMortgage 30y mortgage at 7.3% is week six higher. For EU Spain the parallel is not the MBA print , it's how sticky Euribor stays if German flash CPI is already 3.3% and energy is back in the services basket.
IPC España 4,9% frente a 3,1% subyacente.
@DeItaone €340bn of medium and long term issuance planned for 2027, plus a record €189bn of redemptions. At a 10y near 4.3% the refinancing bill for a core euro issuer is no longer cheap. Fiscal path is pricing higher for longer.
@DeItaone $38.5 bn of junk in September, and nearly $600 bn of AI debt already this year. Spreads widest since April with the 10 year at 5.27%. That is the bid European names meet when they refinance.
