1/1 Very interesting comments made by FAO Livestock Development Officer Anne Mottet. I feel these could have been written by me. https://t.co/5KKK6jNgYR
Had a fantastic discussion with some of Ontario’s phenomenal dairy farmers, envisioning the future of the dairy sector, and the continued, crucial role that @UofG’s @UofGuelphOAC@RidgetownCampus is going to play in training the sector’s next leaders. #OntAg
Ironically, the more #science I do, the more superstitious I seem to be. Take this actual convo today:
“This is my lucky shirt! I’ve worn it every day and haven’t washed it, and everything is going well! Now I have to knock on wood, or else I’ll jinx it.”
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), 86% of global livestock feed is not edible by humans (https://t.co/UmpLPAKM8q…). In reality, particularly ruminants are very effective upcyclers!
Great tour at Green Meadows in Michigan last week. Students toured & learned more about the Dairy Industry in the US. 1st year is wrapped up & we look forward to welcoming more apprentices next fall - still time to apply for September! #dairy#ontag#aglearning@RidgetownCampus
