Happy Bank Holiday weekend!
Lovely weather, isn't it?🌞
Unless you're a nocturnal animal who has to sleep all through the hot day, and wake at night to find no water. No puddles.
No kind dishes.
Unseen.
Unthought of.
Just the tantalising smell of water from a pond you may drown in, or a drain you may get trapped in.
Or a stagnant, dirty old birdbath you may get fatal fluke from.
Hedgehogs need to drink a lot of water to stay healthy.
Please provide clean, fresh, safe, ground level water for our precious wildlife each evening.
Tap water is best.
Pop a dish or two out tonight.
Keep it clean.
Keep it full.
Keep it saving lives.❤️🩹
This is simply not true @Keir_Starmer.
You absolutely DO tolerate abhorrent scenes of violence like this attack. Just like you tolerate all the rapes and sexual assaults of women and girls by illegal migrants.
You - and most of the political class - decided long ago that these crimes are a price worth paying in return for achieving your multicultural, diverse, open bordered nirvana.
So don't pretend to be shocked and don't wring your hands in sadness. This is the predictable (and predicted) result of the policies YOU support.
Man deliberately sits close to woman, pushed against her, grabs hold of her hair and positions himself to be basically sitting on top of her and then asks through his alcohol laced breath if he can kiss her.

On Wednesday 3 June 2026, I posted my assessment of Henry Nowak’s chances of survival, based on the sentencing remarks and body-cam footage.
The post attracted considerable interest.
At the time, I believed the legal proceedings were effectively over. In most cases, there is no coroner’s inquest following a criminal conviction, so I felt it was appropriate to comment.
The very next day, however, HM Coroner announced a full inquest with a jury into the circumstances of the death, with particular focus on the actions of the police. I believe this was an excellent decision.
Out of respect for the judicial process, I immediately removed the posts containing my opinion.
The Coroner will now hear evidence from medical expert witnesses, and the involvement of a jury will ensure the inquest is both thorough and independent.
For these reasons, I ask all my followers to please stop speculating, remain calm, and wait for the findings of the coroner’s court.
Universities should tell their students at induction that they will be suspended and lose a year for deliberate violations of academic freedom such as this. Expelled for a 2nd offence.
Students can protest outside, question inside. But they cannot prevent academic communication.
Apologies for using Oxford-ese without explanation.
The proctors are not the security guards. https://t.co/MDVITbJ6iq
My understanding is that the proctors took the decision to allow protests inside the lecture theatre. If that is correct, it is extraordinary.
The protesters are not helped to understand that their behaviour is wrong when they are given permission by people in authority. And security guards are unlikely to be able to intervene if the proctors have given permission.
A woman at the centre of one of Scotland’s worst domestic abuse cases has spoken out to accuse agencies of years of safeguarding failures after her husband was convicted of 14 charges.
She claims police dismissed the filmed sexual assault on her as she lay drugged, telling her they could see “no criminality involved”. 😯🤬
As a result of their failure to act, Danielle MacDonald faced yet more years of escalating violence and torture at the hands of the man experts described as Scotland’s worst abuser.
Now Police Scotland Chief Constable Jo Farrell faces parliamentary questions over the case along with calls for an independent review.
David MacDonald, 42, from Edinburgh, subjected his wife Danielle to a 16-year campaign of terror. He was last week convicted at the High Court of rape, sexual assault, serious assault, coercive control and attempted murder.

If you cannot handle the law of England being read out in a room in the same town as you, you shouldn’t be a student at Oxford university.
And you should probably be in an asylum.
This is the second lecture in the series I had planned discussing the themes of my new book, Sex, Gender Identity and the Law (CUP 2026).

What the hell is @ZackPolanski doing wearing a shirt to free the Palestinian terrorist Marwan Barghouti who murdered 5 civilians. This is TOO FAR.

“Safety is the main thing, for them [the police] and for you yourself.”
Says the call handler to the liar. While knowing there’s a young man on the ground, blood in his mouth.
If you thought you couldn’t be angrier, listen to Gurpreet Digwa’s 999 call.
There once was a big man called Steph,
Who chopped off his bits, what the f?
He writes of dilation,
And his lady frustration,
But he'll stay a big man until death.

Although this planting effort is natural, there are some things that humans can do to help. As self-sown oaks are usually significantly more vigorous & healthy than nursery grown saplings, encouraging these oaks will likely lead to much better trees than through planting.
What you can do depends on the local circumstances. Sometimes they can just be left to their own devices. If they have sown themselves in a area of high footfall, consider putting rocks or logs round them to stop trampling. If they are in an area with lots of deer, consider putting tree protectors round them, or fencing off areas of them. If we have a dry spell, watering your chosen oaks might help them through the dry patch. In choosing which of the many oaks out there you want to support, concentrate on those outside of the canopy of existing trees, where they will get light (the saplings under the shade of existing oaks are unlikely to make it long-term). You could also consider giving them light by removing invasive species (like rhododendron) or cutting back less ecologically useful trees (like sycamore), or potentially scrub (if there are no deer about) that are covering the baby oaks.
With a little bit of care, you could be helping to nurture a tree that will last for 500 years or more!
@Rhammified@DavidWootton69 Rhammel this is wrong. The Code explains at length the effect of the protected characteristic of gender reassignment.
What you're struggling to accept is that the Equality Act does not give trans ppl the right to be treated as though they've changed sex. It only says they>
. @SamanthaNiblet4 I gather you blocked @ForWomenScot for asking a few questions. So I will ask: is this a lesbian? Should he be allowed to undress with women & girls? Would you share an intimate space w him?
Defend yourself! Or are you going to block everyone who asks qs?
It's very disappointing that shouting and pulling silly stunts rather than engaging in reasoned discussion is still being permitted to shut down teaching and learning in a leading UK university.
Female cyclist Hannah Arensman retired from the sport she loves, after a man in a women’s race was very physical & aggressive towards her
Austin Killips got off his bike and waited for Hannah 3 different times, pushing her against the wall. This video is just one of them
🚨JUST IN: Illegal Sudanese migrant Rasheed Rahman randomly murdered grandfather Mark Carroll, 55, in an unprovoked stabbing in north London.
The Independent has revealed today that only three days prior to the murder in 2024, Rasheed was released on bail for randomly punching two members of the public. Just one day before that attack, he was arrested for throwing a brick through a church window.
Rahman was known to Romford mental health services and had suffered from drug psychosis as a result of alcohol and drug misuse.
It isn't clear when Rasheed arrived in the UK, but when he was discovered he was granted temporary leave to remain in the UK until March 2028.
On the day before the stabbing, Rasheed took a knife from the office of the supported housing building he was living in, which was logged by staff as residents were not allowed to have knives.
What I desperately want people to know about Robert "Gabrielle" Ludwig was that he was not attending college when he decided to join this team.
He already had a well established career (his boss even paid for his cosmetic surgeries), was twice divorced, and had his own children
He signed up for meaningless online college credits just SO HE COULD PLAY BASKETBALL with this women's team.
He was in his 50s while the majority of his teammates were teenagers. This is a two-year community college.
He set two school records for rebounds at the time.
I'm still waiting for the case of the 50-year-old woman who the doctor describes as obese and who hasn't played basketball since high school setting records after joining the collegiate men's team.
