destroy, divine destroyer

[C̷ R̷ Y̷ W̷ O̷ L̷ F̷ @RunCryWolf]

EXUVIUM is my apocalyptic lullaby. My love letter to the deep. The conclusion to the unresolved dissonance of widow, and the culmination of the world of OBLIVIØN.

I hope it makes you feel at peace while you storm the gates of hell.

🖤

Out now. Listen anywhere music streams <3

The experience of levitating in space looking down at 20,000 people singing along to a song I wrote is one that will stick with me for a lifetime.

This has been one crazy year. A month ago I travelled to Shanghai again to perform at four more arena shows, this time opening APHELION by ascending thirty feet into the air. I’ve wanted to fly while performing for over a decade now and was anxiously looking forward to it for almost six months. I looked like a little kid at Disney world when we arrived at rehearsals and did the first test lift.

Endless thanks to the @Wuthering_Waves team for letting me cross yet another live bucket list item off my list 🤍 The whole experience was fantastic (except for the part where I broke part of my tooth off with the microphone during the second performance and had to finish the entire second half of the song with a shard of tooth stuck in my throat. Could have done without that part.) You guys rock.

Earlier this year I got the insane opportunity to go perform Somniomancer in front of almost 80,000 people at Arknight’s yearly stadium event, with a full choir and orchestra.

A month of creating a custom version, getting the orchestral and choir scores right, troubleshooting wardrobe and blocking, 4 days of rehearsals, then 8 shows in a row — It was intense work, but it was so worth it for the first time I got to emerge from the bottom of the stage on a grand piano and hear the deafening roar of ten thousand people excited to hear the song.

Thank you, Arknights, for bringing me out and giving me one of the coolest experiences of my life 🤍

Such a great breakdown of the Alleikhreos boss fight with @YMIR_Music by the masterful @Marcodmeatball

I ADORE when music fuses genres like classical and EDM and frankly this is the second time I hear this stunning choral work from @RunCryWolf. Incredible music. Goes on the gym playlist.

@KairaNakune And thank you 🙏 I’m a poet first and musician second, so I love integrating poetry with my work.

[C̷ R̷ Y̷ W̷ O̷ L̷ F̷ @RunCryWolf]

@KairaNakune No, but definitely the most production I’ve ever had for a performance!

LYRICS:

INTRO :: ADELPHOCLAST

I want you on your knees
This buried love grows teeth
A thousand stars weeping

I want you on your knees

BATTLE 1 :: ACHERON

Flectere si nequeo superos, Acheronta noveno. (If I cannot bend the will of heaven, then I shall move the powers of hell)

BATTLE 2 :: REAPER

Abyssus Abyssum Invocat
Little fallen god
Raise your bloody eyes and look upon what you have made

Listen as it weeps
Mother’s missing heart
Now there’s something dark within me beating in its place

Break

You have turned this paradise amongst the stars into a tomb
Ten thousand years of silence trapped inside a barren womb

The stars weep with my mother's blood, poured out from this cage
If you will not award me love, then I will give you my rage

Break

The soft void opens up its eyes to find
You are the destroyer
I saw the face of god turn blind, he cried,
“You are the destroyer”

I can taste our paradise amongst the stars when you inhale
If you refuse to see my love
If all else fails

If I can’t fight the gods who erased what I am
I will burn with the will of the damned

If everything’s destined to end
I’ll bend fate with the reaper’s cursed hands

Abyssus Abyssum Invocat
Abyssus Abyssum Invocat
Abyssus Abyssum Invocat

Abyssus Abyssum Invocat
Little fallen god
Raise your bloody eyes and look upon what you have made

Listen as it weeps
Mother’s missing heart
Now there’s something darker in me, darker in me

Abyssus Abyssum Invocat
Little fallen god
Raise your bloody eyes and look upon what you have made

Listen as it weeps
Mother’s missing heart
Now there’s something darker in me beating in its place

OUTRO :: AMARANTHUS CAUDATUS

What have we become, oh my brother?
Strung from the stars, these empty frames

For what I have done, please forgive me
Somewhere far away, in a dream, my heart beats again

[C̷ R̷ Y̷ W̷ O̷ L̷ F̷ @RunCryWolf]

A few months ago @ymirymirymirymir and I got the massive opportunity to score the entire final boss battle for Arknights: Endfield.

It was a crazy few months, but I’m super proud of what we created 🤍

[C̷ R̷ Y̷ W̷ O̷ L̷ F̷ @RunCryWolf]

@lens_the_martyr @DaieezznutZzZzZ I like balance. I spend so much time being serious making my music and being depressed, I need to be lighthearted in my day-to-day life or I’ll be swallowed by the abyss.

[C̷ R̷ Y̷ W̷ O̷ L̷ F̷ @RunCryWolf]

I had the initial idea for the ALLEIKHREOS intro while camping in the wilderness without a computer.

I suddenly woke up at 3am with a full track in my head, and had to run to the bathroom (as to not wake my friends) and use my voice memos to get the idea down. Listening to me trying to explain it to my future self is so funny 😂
