Preparing for a qualifying exam in the middle of a pandemic after losing five family members to COVID-19 <<<<<<<<<<<<<< BUT I PASSED. Wishing I could celebrate with all of my family, but I'm making space to enjoy today and believe that they're all proud of me
Whew didn't miss it! Hi I'm Dwayne👋🏾 I'm a PhD student in @BBS_Harvard. My research examines the genetic mechanisms in germ cells and the insulin signaling pathway that regulate reproduction in the fruit fly species of Drosophila #BlackInGeneticsWeek#BlackInGeneticsRollCall
@ekuma_sam@BBS_Harvard Hi sorry for such a delay! I thought I had responded to your message a while ago, but I didn't notice it failed to send 😅 Can you DM me?
Hey, y’all! Hope I’m in the right place 👀 I’m Kelcee & I’m a 3rd year PhD candidate in @BBS_Harvard. My research focuses on the therapeutic application of genome editing tools, namely base and prime editors, to rare genetic diseases #BlackinGeneticsRollCall#BlackinGeneticsWeek
Well past the halfway mark in 2020, still struggling under the many blows the year has brought us, I look back and give thanks for some of the many reasons for joy that my lab and family have brought in the past months: thread 1/15
In June, grad student @RunDME shared his views and wisdom on science, life and how to combine and survive them both, in an amazing @MFQCPod podcast interview https://t.co/hSHQgq0u7y 10/15
So glad to be able to be able to give back to @SFSU with other alums in sharing our experiences and trajectory towards getting a PhD. Some of these students didn't know that you get paid pursuing a PhD in the biosciences and could've deterred them from going!
The ICE notice on F-1 visas is incredibly concerning. But as it stands, this statement does not carry the force of law. We will right these deportations. Harvard students, DM us to join the International Scholars Working Group.
