Our founder is busy preparing for the 2019 season on training camp. Mountains and flat running both have their benefits. There is a time and a place for all running terrain...
Our founder believes in patient and consistent training being the key of a successful runner; in 2018 he ran the following:
5k - 7 secs. PB - 13:53
10k - 25 secs. PB - 29:15
HM - 2 min. PB - 64:23

A great tool for running in heavy winds is heart rate. Dial the pace back, run to your HR for the desired effort level and enjoy the elements! #StormAli#UKRunChat

@Josh_Humphreyz @UKRunChat@runr_uk Periodisation is the key. Ensure that you outline the key races (maybe 3-4 max. per year) and everything else can fit into your preparations towards these that dovetail towards each target.
If you were to run alongside Kipchoge, how long would you last? This is what 2:01:39 pace translates to for various distances.
I'd probably be spent at about 700m. With some hard training, I could maybe make it a full 800m.
If I could give one piece of advice to run a PB?
Don't fret about running a PB! Instead trust your training, be confident, run hard and let it happen.

Lots of negativity surrounds hot running; although with smart hydration/fueling there are lots of benefits:
- Vit. D โฌ๏ธ
- Warmer Muscles move better
- Higher HR means ๐ชheart/lungs
- Building that tolerance to race in hot weather

MARATHON TAPER TIP: What do peoples tapers look like towards London, Manchester etc.? It is important to not back off too much as this increases the risk or injury/illness by shocking the body with such a reduction. #MarathonTips#UkRunChat
