The right way would have been to retain all credit entries as originally recorded and simply notify customers via email and keep the rollback entries in place as well. Deleting the entries — regardless of the glitch — compromises audit trail integrity and lacks transparency. There were far better ways to handle this, and the approach taken falls well below the standard expected of @HSBC_IN @HSBC

• 4 complimentary chauffeur-driven airport transfers per year (domestic only)

Amex Platinum Travel – Devaluation with a silver lining. 😉

There are few upsides for ccgeeks as well, and some new #iykyk stuff too !

1️⃣ Fee waiver opportunity (for RECENT / NEW cards only)
If you’ve recently received the Platinum Travel by flipping another Amex card, you can reach out to Amex support and request a fee waiver citing the devaluation.
👉 Fee waivers are being accepted via chat (AFTER fee has been charged)
👉 There is high probability of also receiving the welcome benefit, though there’s no official confirmation yet but that's just a bonus if it works. (10K MR points)

2️⃣ Extra Milestone math (if timed right)

Complete your ₹4L milestone before 9th March → You’ll receive 40K MR points + Taj voucher (as per current structure).

BUT Post 9th March, if you spend an additional ₹3L → You unlock 22,500 MR points at the ₹7L milestone. Given this is peak tax payment time, you can chose this to pay your taxes and earn some reward points if you don't have better cards.
Customer Care has confirmed this several times now.

3️⃣ Shopwise - Recent Upgrade from Gyftr.

Amazon Pay & Amazon Shopping vouchers are limited to 10K each per account, where other GV's are uncapped. You can get Amazon Pay & Amazon shopping voucher unlimited too by using different phone numbers. ( This 'feature' wasn't available in gyftr, the order used to fail if you used same card on different account )
So if you have 4 phone numbers in household, you can buy 40K ASV + 40K Amazon Pay, don't even need addons as of now. 😉

In effect, with the right timing, the card can still deliver strong value despite the upcoming “devaluation” given the card is free for recent takers and unlocks a new milestone which works a revaluation for some people.
