One of the most important decisions we're making for RustUO is choosing our scripting engine. After careful consideration, we've implemented Lua and are currently testing it out.
This is an exciting direction as Lua has deep roots in gaming and powers everything from World of Warcraft addons to Roblox. It's lightweight, fast, and battle-tested in exactly the kind of environment we're building for.
More updates to come as testing progresses.
Do you keep your bank organized? A default RustUO Server out of the box right now uses 25 megs of RAM... and keeps its memory very organized :) Nothing else is even close.
Welcome to the UOGamers Fall Vendor Fair!

Claim a vendor stall to sell your finest treasures or wander the fairgrounds and discover what your fellow Britannians have crafted. The fair runs until November 15th, so there’s plenty of time to shop, trade, and celebrate the season.
Crafting News From the Workshop
Glassblowing Gets Serious: At long last, proper glassblowing tables have arrived! Tinkerers can now craft these handsome workstations, and all glassblowers must work at a table when shaping their wares.
Adventurer Updates
The Stars Await: The initial astronomy quest is back in action! Chart the heavens, record your discoveries, and secure your place in Britannia’s celestial history. (Mind your naming — rude or out-of-place constellations will be erased, and troublemakers won’t be smiling for long.)
Sand Mining, But Less Miserable: We’ve cut the dig count from six to three and nudged up the success rate for skilled miners. Go forth and collect sand without breaking your spirit!
Table Games & Beyond
Poker Gets Smarter: Poker logs and data on the website have been sharpened up for a smoother experience.
We quietly re-released RunUO 2.3… then upgraded it to 3.0 on NET 8.0… and followed that up with 3.1 doing some cleanup work.
While we’re not sure where this goes… it’s enjoyable to be back in some context.
