@cocabasketball has already produced one player, @chrisanders2024, who was initially known just as a scoring guard that could be played on or off the ball, but necessary on the floor, before proving himself to be one of the most impactful point guards in the 2026 NBA Draft class.

Despite displaying high level production and playmaking instincts at Oak Hill #eyblscholastic, on the @NikeEYB circuit, and with @DBB_Basketball internationally, much of the pre-college discussion focused on his ELITE outside shooting.

Today, Christian Anderson leads ALL the Point guards in the 2026 draft class in:

He has advanced to four consecutive @FIBA medal rounds, played in three Gold Medal Games, won two Gold Medals, and as of this week received @nba draft “Green Room” invite after starting his senior year of high school outside the national Top 100.

✅A Top-10 scorer on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit in the United States.

✅A Top-10 scorer at Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy.

✅One of only a handful of 2009-born players invited to Eurocamp.

✅The only 2009-born player selected for Team World.

✅Competing against a field largely made up of players born between 2006 and 2008, with several participants born as early as 2004 and even 2001.

✅At 17 years old, Lucai finished among the camp’s leading scorers and closed the event with a 21-point performance against the 3SSB Select Team.

At what point does an outlier stop being an exception and start becoming a blueprint?
